    As a traditional Chinese herbal medicine,Cangzhu(Atractylodis Rhizoma)has the functions of drying dampness and strengthening spleen,dispelling wind and cold,eliminating filth and turbidizing,improving eyesight,promoting gastrointestinal peristalsis,protecting gastric mucosa,anti-inflammatory,diuretic and other pharmacological effects,and Cangzhu(Atractylodis Rhizoma)is often used in clinical use in the form of medicine pair with Baizhu(Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma),Huangbai(Phellodendri Chinensis Cortex),Houpo(Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex)and other drugs.In this paper,the researches aboutCangzhu(Atractylodis Rhizoma)and its pharmacologic effects,clinicalapplications and related network pharmacology in CNKI,Wanfang,TCMSP and PubMed were summarized.In this paper,the research status and progress of Cangzhu(Atractylodis Rhizoma)and its drug pairs were reviewed,and the mechanism of action was discussed,which provided the basis and new ideas for revealing the application law and compatibility theory of Cangzhu(Atractylodis Rhizoma)and its drug pairs.

    Syndromes are the cornerstone of the theoretical system of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)and the core of syndrome differentiation and treatment and clinical diagnosis and treatment in TCM.Scientific identification of syndromes is an eternal theme in industry research.Traditional research on TCM syndromes mainly focuses on the macro-phenotype and microphenotype levels of syndromes,forming a complete theoretical system and methodology.With the rapid development ofmedical imaging in the last century,it is comprehensively expanding and enriching the research field and methodology of TCM syndromes.TCM syndrome science and medical imaging are colliding and integrating with each other,and syndrome imaging,a new interdisciplinary research field,has emerged.This article focused on explaining the background significance,research content,research characteristics and future development directions of syndrome imaging.

    Objective

    To observe the effect of Yinzhihuang Granules(茵栀黄颗粒)combined with ursodeoxycholic acid on the efficacy and liver function of patients with chronic jaundice hepatitis B.

    Methods

    A totalof132 patientswith chronic jaundice hepatitis B were enrolled in the hospital and random ly divided into observation group and control group according to the random number table method,with 66 cases in each group.The control group was treated with ursodeoxycholic acid,and the observation group was treated with Yinzhihuang Granules combined with ursodeoxycholic acid.The clinical efficacy,liver function,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,hepatitis B virus deoxyribonucleic acid(HBV DNA)negative conversion rate and occurrence of adverse reactions were observed in the two groups before and after treatment.

    Results

    After treatment,the total effective rate of the observation group was 89.39%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(74.24%)(P<0.05).The liver functions of the two groups were alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),total bilirubin(TBIL),total bile acids(TBA)andγ-glutamyl transferase(GGT)were all lower than those before treatment(P<0.05),while observing the liver function indicators of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The TCM syndrome scores of the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.05).At the same time,the TCM syndrome scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the controlgroup(P<0.05).The HBV DNA negative conversion rate in the observation group was 56.06%,and that in the control group was 28.79%.The negative conversion rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of liver injury in the observation group was 1.52%,which was significantly lower than that(13.64%)in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 3.03%,which was not significant compared with that(10.61%)in the control group(P>0.05).

    Conclusion

    Yinzhihuang Granules combined with ursodeoxycholic acid has a significant effect on patientswith chronic jaundice hepatitis B.It can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and liver function of patients,promote the HBV DNA negative conversion rate,and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.

    Atherosclerosis(AS)is a chronic and complex disease that occurs in the arterial wall and underlies a variety of cardiovascular pathologies.Nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2)is an anti-oxidative stress high-sensitivity transcription factor that interacts with antioxidant response element(ARE)to activate downstream gene transcription and exerts various protective effects such as anti-inflammation,antioxidant and detoxification,thus protecting cellular components such as endothelial cells,macrophages,vascular smooth muscle cells,endothelial progenitor cells and so on in arterial vascular tissue,and plays an important role in the development of AS.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has significant advantages in the treatment of AS due to its multi-targets and multi-pathways,stable efficacy,individualisation and safety.This article summarized the mechanism of Nrf2 regulation by TCM monomers,TCM extracts,TCM combinations and proprietary Chinese medicines in the prevention and treatment of AS,with a view to providing a theoretical basis for clinical research and drug development in the prevention and treatment of AS.

    Objective

    To study the clinical study of Jingu Tongxiao Pill(筋骨痛消丸)combined with arthroscopy in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis(cold coagulation blood stasis syndrome).

    Methods

    A total of 120 patients diagnosed as knee osteoarthritis(cold coagulation and blood stasis syndrome)were selected and divided into two groups according to random number table.The reference group(60 cases)received arthroscopic treatment,and the study group(60 cases)received Jingu Tongxiao Pill and arthroscopic treatment.The clinical efficacy,TCM syndrome score,osteoarthritis index,inflammatory factor level and oxidative stress reaction of the two groupswere observed and compared.

    Results

    Compared with that(75.00%)of the reference group,the total effective rate of the study group was98.33%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the TCM syndrome score of the study group was lower than that of the reference group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,compared with those of the reference group,the pain,stiffness and difficulty scores of daily activities in the study group were lower,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,compared with those of the reference group,the levels of tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α),interleukin-1 beta(IL-1β)and matrixmetalloproteinase-3(MMP-3)in the study group were lower,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).

    Conclusion

    The patients with knee osteoarthritis(cold coagulation blood stasis syndrome)were treated with arthroscopy and Jingu Tongxiao Pill,and the therapeutic effect was good,which could effectively improve the clinical symptoms and promote the recovery of patients,and the clinical application value was high.

    In recent years,the incidence of gout has been gradually rising globally due to factors such as fast-paced life,changes in lifestyle habits and the increase in metabolic obesity.Goutacute attack willappear joint pain and swelling,long-term development may even cause gout stones and chronic inflammation,causing great trouble to the patients.Currently,western medicine mainly adopts anti-inflammatory and uric acid-lowering therapies,but there is a certain risk of liver and kidney damage.Therefore,there is an urgent need to develop safe drugs with fewer side effects to treat gout.Traditional Chinese medicine has unique advantages in this field.For example,resveratrol contained in Guzhang(Polygoni Cuspidati Rhizoma et Radix)has been proved by many scholars to have good treatment effect on gout.Numerous studies have shown that resveratrol has significant results in anti-inflammation,lowering uric acid,maintaining the balance of intestinal flora,and regulating the growth and development of bone cells.The purpose of this articlewas to review the mechanism of resveratrol in the treatment of gout,hoping to provide a useful reference for the clinical treatment of gout in traditional Chinese medicine and the in-depth study of resveratrol.

    Objective

    To investigate the effects of preparation and processing methods on the contents of oil components in Dihuang(Rehmanniae Radix)and clarify the correlation between oil components with medicinal properties,in order to provide guidance for processing research and clinical application.

    Methods

    The extraction of volatile oil refers to the volatile oil determination method A in the 2020 edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia,and the Soxhlet method was used to extract fatty oil.Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry(GC-MS)was used to identify the oil components and their relative contents.Thermographic analysis was used to clarify the characteristics of the influence of different preparation and processing methods on oil components.Combined with literature review,the correlation of processing,preparation,components and properties was discussed.

    Results

    The oil components weremainly fatty acids.The order of the extraction rate of fatty oil was fresh Dihuang(Rehmanniae Radix)>raw Dihuang(Rehmanniae Radix)>steaming with wine≈stewing with wine>steaming and exposing nine times with Sharen(Amomi Fructus)>steaming without ingredients,and the order of the volatile oil extraction rate was stewing with wine>steaming with wine>steaming and exposing nine times with Sharen(Amomi Fructus)>raw Dihuang(Rehmanniae Radix)≈steaming without ingredients>fresh Dihuang(Rehmanniae Radix).The heatmap analysis of fatty oil and volatile oil showed that Shudihuang(Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata)stewing with wine and that steaming and exposing nine times with Sharen(Amomi Fructus)were clustered one category.

    Conclusion

    The changes and adjustments of the types and relative contents of oil componentswere important material basis for the differences in medicinal property of Dihuang(Rehmanniae Radix)processed products.Adding wine,Sharen(Amomi Fructus)or increasing steaming and exposing times were helpful in reducing the cold nature of Dihuang(Rehmanniae Radix),and the greasy nature of Shudihuang(Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata),and enhance thewarming-reinforcing effect.The volatile oil components in different products of Dihuang(Rehmanniae Radix)were the material basis of their“Qiwei”.

    Yanhusuo(Corydalis Rhizoma)is a commonly used medicine for promoting blood circulation and relieving pain,and is one of the“eight flavours of Zhejiang”,whose traditional local production areas are Dongyang and Pan’an in Zhejiang.Modern research shows that the main chemical components of Yanhusuo(Corydalis Rhizoma)include alkaloids,organic acids,nucleosides,steroids,etc.Alkaloids are the material basis for the pharmacological effects of Yanhusuo(Corydalis Rhizoma).Yanhusuo(Corydalis Rhizoma)has analgesic,sedative and other effects on regulating the central nervous system,as well as vasodilatory and anti myocardial is chemia effects on regulating the cardiovascular system.It also has various pharmacological activities such as anti-tumor,anti-inflammatory,hypoglycemic and lipid-lowering effects.Based on the theory of quality marker(QMarker)in traditional Chinese medicine,through the Q-marker prediction analysis of different dimensions of Yanhusuo(Corydalis Rhizoma),it is suggested that the quality markers of tetrahydropalmatine,d-corydaline,dehydrocorydaline,protopine,palmatine,berberine,canadine,bulbocapnine,yuanhunine and d-glaucine are suggested as the quality markers of Yanhusuo(Corydalis Rhizoma),which can be used for the provide scientific basis for the rationalevaluation of the quality of Yanhusuo(Corydalis Rhizoma).

    Objective

    To explore the mechanism of Modified Qingre Shenshi Decoction(清热渗湿汤化裁)regulating TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway in improving ulcerative colitis.

    Methods

    A total of150 patients with ulcerative colitis admitted to the hospital from January 2021 to January 2024 were selected and divided into control group(75 cases,treated with mesalazine enteric-coated tablets)and observation group(75 cases,treated with Modified Qingre Shenshi Decoction)according to a random number table.The efficacy and adverse reactions of the two groupswere compared.TCM syndrome scores,disease evaluation,serum factor and mRNA expressions of TLR4 and NF-κB in two groups were observed.

    Results

    After treatment,the total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Before treatment,the scores of lower abdomen fullness and pain,burning anus,strong anal distension,diarrhea,mucus,pus and blood stool,heavy limbs,chest tightness and fever,dry mouth and bitter mouth and short urine red were not significant between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the scores of the above symptoms were all lower than those before treatment.In addition,the scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Before treatment,the scores of Baron endoscopy and mucosal histology were not significant between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the scores of Baron endoscopy and mucosal histology in the two groups were lower and the scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Before treatment,the levels of interleukin-1β,tumor necrosis factor-α,endotoxin and D-lactic acid were not significant between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the levels of interleukin-1β,tumor necrosis factor-α,endotoxin and D-lactic acid in both groups were lower than those before treatment,and the levels in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Before treatment,the mRNA expressions of TLR4 and NF-κB not significant between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the mRNA expressions of TLR4 and NF-κB in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the expressions in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).There were no adverse reactions in both groups during the treatment.

    Conclusion

    By regulating TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway,Modified Qingre Shenshi Decoction can improve the clinical symptoms of patients with ulcerative colitis,plays an anti-inflammatory role and promotes the recovery of patients,which is worthy of clinical application.

    Objective

    To observe the clinical effect of Viral Flu Prescription combined with external treatment by pressing needle in the treatment of acute viral upper respiratory tract infection.

    Methods

    This study included 200 patients with acute viral upper respiratory tract infection(admitted to the emergency department and fever clinic from October 2023 to March 2024),who were divided into observation group and control group by random number tablemethod.The control group(100 cases)received conventional treatment.The observation group(100 cases)were treated with Viral Flu Prescription and external treatment by pressing needle on the basis of the control group.The data of patients in each group was compared,including the treatmenteffect,the time of body temperature returned to be normal,the time of cough,sore throat and runny nose to disappear,adverse reactions and TCM symptom scores before and after treatment(fever,sore throat,drymouth,thirst,stream turbidity stuff,etc.)and the levels of serum amyloid A(SAA),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-10(IL-10)and other inflammatory factors.

    Results

    The total effective rate of the observation group(99.00%,99/100)was higher than that of the control group(93.00%,93/100)(P<0.05).Compared with those in the control group,the time of body temperature to return to be normal,the time for cough,sore throat and runny nose to disappear were shorter in the observation group(P<0.05).The adverse reaction rate of the control group and the observation group was lower(P>0.05).Before treatment,TCM symptom scores(fever,sore throat,dry and thirsty mouth,runny nose,etc.),the levels of SAA levels,TNF-α,IL-6 and IL-10 were compared in both groups(P>0.05).After treatment,these indexes in the observation group were better than those in the control group(P<0.05).

    Conclusion

    Viral Flu Prescription combined with external treatment by pressing needle has good clinical effect in the treatment of acute viralupper respiratory tract infection,which can better improve the symptoms of patients,promote patients to recover faster,and the treatment is safe and reliable.
