The marvelous spatial art description in the story embodies Liu Cixin’s unique style, whereas the thought of the spring of science pins the story on Liu Cixin’s earlier writing career before The Three-Body Problem.

    In this paper, the basic situation of primary school science teachers in China which is analyzed includes the number, the gender ratio, and the educational level of science teachers. The overall landscape of science education infrastructure in primary schools is also analyzed from the standard rate of experimental instrument, the per-student lab area and the experimental instrument asset. The results show that science teachers in primary schools in China are still lacking, requiring an additional number of 37 000 teachers, and the educational infrastructure in the urban areas is rather different from the counterpart in the rural areas. Therefore, in order to deal with the comprehensive development of science curriculum in primary schools, it is advised to start with filling the gap of science teachers, using the resources of scientific education facilities inside and outside of school, and using new media skill.

    The dissemination and popularization of public health knowledge is an important direction of modern Chinese medical development and national policy. The Ta Kung Pao Medical Weekly founded by Bing Yin Medical College is an important medical journal in North China in the 1920s and 1930s. Since the years from 1929 to 1937, the journal has actively and continually introduced the experience regarding health management in foreign countries, popularized knowledge concerning public health, and relayed advice and suggestions to the government, and then obtained an important position and role in the public health popularization. The journal published 133 related articles in total, which not only popularized knowledge of public health, but also fairly and objective lyrecorded the real situation of public health in China at that time, and demonstrated the tireless efforts made by the Chinese intellectuals to promote public health.

    Inquiry learning has received wide attention among science centers. The paper puts forward a way to evaluate the science center exhibits’ function for inquiry learning. The exhibits can be divided into three grades both at the output of information and input of conditions. With different grades, the levels of function for inquiry learning are naturally different. In the paper, both the input and output should be taken into account to evaluate the exhibits’ function for inquiry learning. Furthermore, the paper explains why the differences among exhibits exist, and puts forward some ideas and suggestions to improve the function for inquiry learning accordingly.

    Based on the visitor study of Diverse Lives at Shanghai Natural History Museum, the paper tries to analyze the frequency and types of visitors’ conversation through tracking, observation and documentation of conversation and interactive behavior of 63 samples. The survey finds that group visitors show a tendency towards visiting the museum on their own and that perceiving dialogue is the most common type of conversation occurred during the visit. By adopting the detailed analysis of the relationship between visitors’ conservations and exhibit design, the survey finds the factors which can influence visitors’ conservation. The exhibits which are with obvious features and within visitors’ sight can evoke high frequency of conservations. The labels and texts in exhibit promote visitors’ conservation. The exhibits that contribute to visitors’ relationship building and reasoning can evoke in-depth learning conservations. It is clear that great efforts should be made to facilitate visitors’ conservations; investigate the needs of targeted groups in advance; use labels, texts and videos to enrich exhibit content; choose exhibits with obvious features; and design exhibits under the guidance of inquiry learning.

    Natural science museum is defined as a socially-involved institution dedicating itself to science communication and education. The development of natural science museum is currently faced with fresh challenges and opportunities largely due to the overall trend of world multi-polarization, economic globalization, cultural diversity, and information booming. By starting with an analysis of the development of natural science museums, globalization and sustainable development, uneven regional development and the major influence of technology and social interaction as socio-contextual factors are analyzed in this paper. According to the analysis, it is analyzing that “the Belt and Road” Initiative has provided a key platform and a package of solutions for natural science museums in terms of coping with the above-mentioned challenges. Therefore, as proposed in this paper, the following suggestions should be taken into account: strengthen the communication and cooperation among natural science museums; build a platform for scientific communication; promote the activities and events related to exhibitions and educational programs; provide a range of professional training programs to build leadership; establish mutual benefits& sharing mechanism; as well as promote a further development in science and technology, education and culture in the countries and regions along “the Belt and Road”.

    Underground Fire, a short science fiction, is a typical coal-mining theme literature work. The story is illustrated based on the underground gasification, realism creation method is applied to give an expression of grand themes about natural disasters, technological progress and human survival in this work. The using of rhetoric devices, (such as metaphor and comparison) as well as the using of narrative techniques (such as intensive narrative and time jump) are the main writing features in this work, that significantly enhances the literary flavor of this science fiction. This work does not only eulogize scientific ideal, but also fairly criticize blindness and non-rationality.

    This paper analyzes the series of astronomical science articles Xiaochuang Suibi in the Astronomical and Meteorological Magazine which were written by Gao Lu in the period of the Republic of China. It makes a logic analysis of the main content of Xiaochuang Suibi and its references to local knowledge resources. According to citation index of Rizhilu and Rizhilu Jishi (the most representative local knowledge resources) in Xiaochuang Suibi, the paper chooses Rizhilu and Rizhilu Jishi as the case studies. It concludes that Xiaochuang Suibi creates a new popular science model which is different from the that during the early years of the Republic of China, namely, local knowledge resources are taken to interpret western science in Xiaochuang Suibi.

    In order to clarify the crisis of confidence in the science risk perception, this paper makes an empirical analysis of the mechanism of trust affecting risk perception. Several conclusions are obtained principally based on the research. Firstly, the public trust in science is influenced by the channel of scientific information dissemination and the level of education; Secondly, trust has negative impacts on scientific risk perception, and the dimensions of competence trust and goodwill trust have a significant impact on the public scientific risk perception; Last but not the least, individual risk preference of the public has negative effects on scientific risk perception.

    Since the end of 1990s, science and technology innovation has played a huge part in driving social development principally due to advances in science education over the years. Therefore, countries which take a lead in science and technology attach great importance to science education, which is a priority for the development of education. Science education is a fundamental approach not only to improve citizens’ scientific literacy and social development but also to guarantee the construction of innovation-oriented nation. In June, 1999, Decision on Deepening the Educational Reform and Propelling the Overall Development of Quality Education was issued by the Central Committee of Communist Party of China (CPC) and the State Council; since then, there have been a serials of policy documents sprung up concerning science education issued by the competent departments. The goal of science education has been shifted from fostering science and technology talents to advancing citizens’ scientific literacy; the concept of science education in China has learned the essence of good practices abroad; and the informal science learning tends to be much more flexible and diverse.
