Media studies is one of the important content for science communication. Farming and Weaving Picture is a special form of art which is used to spread agricultural technology and culture in traditional Chinese society. In the process of Chinese society's transformation from traditional to modern times, the printing media of Farming and Weaving Picture changed from xylograph to lithography. By analyzing different transmission modes of Farming and Weaving Picture and exploring its changes of print media, it is found that although lithography has increased the reproduction and transmission of Farming and Weaving Picture to a certain extent, science communication mode of traditional Farming and Weaving Picture is interrupted. This phenomenon shows that there is no direct relationship between media and science communication. It is necessary to follow rules in other areas when science communication attempts to cooperate with other areas.
