    Objective

To systematically synthesize the research findings on the application of ecological momentary assessment(EMA) in dietary lapse management.

    Methods

Relevant literature on the application of EMA in dietary lapse management was retrieved from the CNKI,Wanfang Database,VIP Database,PubMed,Web of Science,Cochrane Library,EMbase, and CINAHL databases. The retrieval time was from the inception of each database to October 30,2025.Literature was screened and data were extracted independently by 2 researchers.

    Results

A total of 22 studies were finally included. The research was mainly concentrated in European and American countries, with samples predominantly consisting of overweight/obese individuals attempting weight loss, and some studies extended to patients with diabetes.Smartphone applications served as the primary tool for EMA data collection, using semi-random prompts, fixed prompts, and other scheduling methods. The monitoring period ranged from 3 to 84 days, with 6 daily prompts being the most frequent schedule.Negative emotions were identified as the main psychological trigger for dietary lapses, while social environment, hunger, and other factors also influenced lapse occurrence. The participation rate for EMA application ranged from 62.9% to 100.0%.Users demonstrated good acceptance of EMA,although issues such as insufficient methodological standardization and fatigue from long-term monitoring were noted.

    Conclusions

EMA offers advantages of real-time and ecological validity.EMA demonstrated significant value in revealing the trigger mechanisms of dietary lapses and guiding personalized interventions, with good application feasibility.Future efforts should promote methodological standardization, strengthen technological integration, and expand research in special populations, with the aim of facilitating its transformation from a research tool to a routine clinical intervention approach.

    Objective

To investigate the clinical evidence-based nursing practice competence among master of nursing specialist students and analyze its influencing factors.

    Methods

A mixed-methods study with an explanatory sequential design was adopted. For the quantitative phase, convenience sampling was used to select 130 master of nursing specialist students from four tertiary grade A hospitals in Shanxi province from March to May 2023.The participants were surveyed using a general information questionnaire and the Chinese version of the Evidence-Based Practice Questionnaire. For the qualitative phase,a total of 19 master of nursing specialist students were selected to participate in semi-structured interviews from the quantitative study sample.

    Results

The total score on the Chinese version of the Evidence-based Practice Questionnaire among the 130 master of nursing specialist students was 115.95±21.04,with an average item score of 4.64±0.84.Regression analysis showed that research experience(participating in academic conferences and research projects and so on),awareness of the importance of clinical evidence-based nursing practice, and knowledge of clinical evidence-based nursing practice were influencing factors for the score on the Chinese version of the Evidence-Based Practice Questionnaire(all P<0.05).The qualitative analysis extracted four themes, namely high recognition and internalization of values, identifying clinical evidence-based nursing practice as a professional development direction;weak practical competence and lack of systematic support, leading to a knowing-doing gap;multidimensional facilitating factors stimulating the implementation of clinical evidence-based nursing practice;and multiple barriers constraining the clinical application of evidence-based nursing practice.

    Conclusions

The clinical evidence-based nursing practice competence among master of nursing specialist students was at a moderate level.Hospitals and schools should improve teaching methods based on students' learning needs and experiences, provide more support, and enhance their clinical evidence-based nursing practice competence.

    Objective

To identify the latent classes of symptom distress in elderly patients with heart failure and to construct a risk prediction model using machine learning algorithms.

    Methods

A convenience sampling method was used to select 460 elderly patients with heart failure who were hospitalized in the department of cardiology of a tertiary grade A hospital in Hengyang city from September 2023 to April 2024 as the study subjects.Latent class analysis was employed to explore the latent classes of symptom distress in these elderly patients with heart failure. Six risk prediction models of symptom distress in elderly patients with heart failure were constructed using machine learning algorithms. The optimal model was selected and subjected to interpretability analysis.

    Results

Symptom distress in elderly heart failure patients was classified into three latent classes. The low-distress symptom-adaptation group accounted for 44.8%(206 cases). The moderate-distress psychological-dysregulation group accounted for 26.5%(122 cases). The high-distress heart-failure-predominant group accounted for 28.7%(132 cases).LASSO regression analysis showed that age, educational level, average monthly household income, multimorbidity, smoking, and perceived social support were significant influencing factors of symptom distress in elderly heart failure patients.Machine learning algorithms were used to construct six models, namely logistic regression, decision tree, random forest,K-nearest neighbors, extreme gradient boosting and support vector machine. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of extreme gradient boosting in the training set and test set was 0.909 and 0.828,respectively.Which was higher than that of the other models. The calibration curve showed that the predictions of extreme gradient boosting were in good agreement with the actual results.Within a certain threshold probability range, the decision curve of extreme gradient boosting demonstrated that the model possessed favorable clinical application performance. The learning curve showed no overfitting of the extreme gradient boosting. The interpretability analysis based on extreme gradient boosting revealed that perceived social support, multimorbidity, and age were of high importance.

    Conclusions

Symptom distress in elderly patients with heart failure exhibits population heterogeneity. The extreme gradient boosting model demonstrates good performance in predicting the risk of symptom distress in elderly patients with heart failure.

    Objective

To identify the latent profiles of professional socialization in nursing interns, and to reveal their heterogeneous characteristics and the influencing factors.

    Methods

A convenience sampling method was adopted,a total of 386 nursing interns from five tertiary hospitals in China were selected as research subjects from August to October 2025.Data were collected using a general information questionnaire, the Perceived Academic Support Scale for Nursing Interns, the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale, and the Professional Socialization Scale for Nursing Students.A latent profile model was constructed using Mplus 8.3 software.

    Results

Group heterogeneity was observed in the level of professional socialization in nursing interns, and three latent profiles were identified, namely role-drifting type,identity-constructing type, and belonging-integrating type.Age,satisfaction with the nursing major, perceived academic support, and career adaptability were significant influencing factors of the latent profiles(all P<0.05).

    Conclusions

Nursing educators should pay attention to the group heterogeneity of professional socialization in nursing interns. They should also identify and focus on those in the role-drifting type, and implement differentiated interventions to guide them toward the identity-constructing type, ultimately facilitating a deeper transformation toward the belonging-integrating type and achieving full role internalization.
