    Paper, serving as an important manifestation form of scientists' research results, bears the recent progress in science and technology. In addition to being used for academic communication among peers, papers are also important sources of science news. It is an important way for news media to collect and compile news articles with papers as clues and main content. On the basis of putting forward the concept of paper news, this paper mainly takes the paper news report of China Science Daily as an example, and analyzes and studies the current situation, significance, characteristics, clues, elements and bottlenecks of paper news by means of interview and case analysis. In addition, this paper also seeks to predict the future development of the paper news following the arrival of the era of artificial intelligence.

    AR science books, which carries advantages of improving reading experience, three-dimensional content presentation, and multi-sensory interactive experience, have become a new trend and profit growth point of the publishing industry under the media integration environment. To promote the healthy and stable development of AR science book market, it is necessary to adopt appropriate marketing strategies. This paper starts with delving into the existing problems of AR science books, and proposes idea of the design of AR science book consumer strategy, the design of cost strategy, the design of convenience strategy, and the design of communication strategy under the construction of 4C marketing theory. Under the guidance of the theory, exploratory marketing practices are targeted at AR Science Books of the Future Machine World.

    At present, China's sharing economy is developing at a rapid pace. The rise and development of sharing economy has played a sound role in regulating social contradictions between the lack of resources and the idle resources. In the process of innovation development and public scientific literacy construction, science popularization industry has risen rapidly, whereas, there still remains an immense gap in the supply of public services on science popularization. In this context, this paper seeks to explore concepts, characteristics and development models of sharing economy, to analyze problems existing in science popularization industry, and to explore a path of integrating science popularization industry and sharing economy from the following three aspects: policy line, development model, and enterprise training.

    This paper summarizes and analyses the venue distribution, the degree of innovation and independent design, team members and funds of 20 exhibits awarded in the first National Science and Technology Museum Exhibition& Exhibit Competition, the aim of which is to reflect the current situation and existing problems of exhibits innovation in China's science and technology museums. Through the analysis, it can be seen that the research and development of exhibits of science and technology museums in China are mostly concentrated in Science and Technology Museums at the provincial or above the provincial levels and also in a few Municipal Science and technology museums. Relevant exhibit design and research teams are highly educated and young, however, the degree of independent design of exhibits, especially in technical design, needs to be improved, the level of technical design of relevant personnel needs to be enhanced, and the training of reserve talents needs to be further strengthened. The standardized design of exhibits still needs further research and practice. Based on the evaluation process of this competition, this paper makes a collection and analysis of the evaluation criteria of innovative exhibits, and puts forward the idea of adding the process of audience evaluation with an aim to better evaluate innovative exhibits in the future.

    This paper takes five cases as the study object, and explores museum evaluation respectively in UK, USA, and Canada, involving objectives, themes, indicators, criteria, evaluators, objects, procedures, and methodology. The empirical evidence of the study shows that public organizations and bodies take a lead in organizing evaluations; The subjects of evaluation are broad, yet without unified standards; Evaluations generally are independent with multi-stakeholder participation; Methodology for evaluation is evidence-based expert judgment; and evaluation cycles are varied according to the objectives and the scales of evaluations. Based on those judgments, the paper tries to propose suggestions for conducting science and technology museum evaluation in China.

    This paper studies the influencing factors and transmission mechanism of science education in rural primary schools based on the data gathered from rural teachers in 13 districts of Heilongjiang province. The study shows that the situation of science education in rural primary schools is satisfactory, and there are no obvious differences in the type and the location of schools. Primary science education could be significantly influenced by rural school teaching capital; rural school teaching capital indirectly improves the implementation effect of primary school science education through the intermediary role of social participation, meanwhile, the quality monitoring of curriculum implementation has an enhanced regulatory role in the positive impact of rural school teaching capital on social participation. Given the limited teaching capital, a number of measures shall be taken to create a sound atmosphere of science education from the perspective of value perception in rural schools, to enhance the teaching capital of science education through outside help, and to improve the monitoring system of teaching quality for promoting an effective implementation of science education in primary schools.

    Museum-school cooperation, also known as the museum-school combination, means that the grand aim of cooperation between the museum (science and technology museum) and the school is to carry out educational objective of the overall development of students, which includes the exchange or training of teachers and educators in museums with the aim being at achieving maximum resource efficiency and mutual benefit of museum, student and school. Museum-school cooperation has always been a top priority in the museum / science museum education. This paper analyzes several forms of education, especially the characteristics and advantages of museum-school cooperation education, and introduces the three stages and characteristics of museum-school cooperation through some cases since the opening of the new building of China Science and Technology Museum. These stages have facilitated museum-school cooperation from site visit to education programs, from participation in activities to customized learning, and from a goal-less experience to a themed and scheduled arrangement. This paper also introduces the “museum-school-teacher-student-course” form in CSTM and illustrates the mode of museum-school cooperation and the educational concept of CSTM. Based on the practical experience during the past nine years, the study finds that the quantity and quality of educational activities and the systematic research on museum-school cooperation are insufficient, and the enthusiasm in cooperation of schools and teachers needs to be improved. Therefore, some suggestions are put forward: developing projects to meet with the common objectives which are consistent with the common objectives of both parties, improving the ability of science educators in museums, making full use of Internet technology, and strengthening the comprehensive research of museum-school cooperation.

    Since the establishment of the Science Communication Bureau of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the science communication activities of CAS as a national scientific research institution have gradually become systematic and standardized. The scientific communication work of CAS has also entered into a new stage. In the context of the growing varieties of variety shows in recent years, CAS has also participated in some technology variety shows. Through the analysis of two representative cases of CAS participating in the TV variety show, this paper explores the relevant practice of CAS as a national scientific research institution participating in the TV variety show after the establishment of the Communication Bureau of CAS, and summarizes the two modes of it in participating in the TV variety show: the “Resource Support” mode and the “Content Collaboration” mode. Some solutions to problems in practice process are also presented.

    The paper selects 18 indicators for popular science input and 10 indicators for popular science output, and makes a comparative study of statistics of 31 provinces (autonomous regions or municipalities) during the years of 2015—2016, and of 2013—2014 by using a typical correlation analysis method. The conclusion shows that funding is the most important input factor for the development of science popularization, and personnel input is the core of the development of science popularization and plays a more and more important role, and facilities investment builds a platform for the development of science popularization. In a nutshell, some related suggestions for the development of science popularization are put forward.

    This paper takes 371 science popular bases in Beijing as the research object, and their type, field, team, exhibits facilities and activities as the research content. The study analyzes the current distribution characteristics of Beijing science popular base resources, and summarizes five issues including top management, field distribution, personnel structure, exhibition renewal, and activity organization. On the basis of the analysis, this paper puts forward three suggestions. Firstly, in-depth research should be carried out to strengthen the refined management of the base. Secondly, we should integrate educational, cultural and tourism resources to explore market-oriented transformation. Thirdly, it is necessary to raise the professional level of popular science personnel and cultivate a stable volunteer team.

    Guilin, as an international tourist resort, has boasted abundant Karst natural resources with high tourism development value. This paper, taking the Karst world natural heritage site of Guilin as the research target under the guidance of RMP theory, investigates and analyzes the eco-tourism resources, the tourism market and the related tourism products. Subsequently, the paper puts forward three ecological subjects including the leisure ecological science popularization, experiencing ecological science tourism, and the special ecological science tourism. The purpose is to provide reference for developing and innovating ecological science tourism in Guilin.

    Zhang Taiyan, whose interpretation of classics was based on “Xiao xue-a reading of ancient classics prior to Qin dynasty”, advocated the establishment of literature thought of “taking characters as the criterion”, stressed the functioning role of ideographic expression of characters and its application, and tried to achieve the utmost effect of meticulous reasoning by invoking extensive arguments from Chinese and Western learnings. In his early years, Ren Hongjuan, inspired by Zhang Taiyan's interpretation of ancient classics, always adhered to his standpoint for Chinese learning on the road of saving country by science, insisted that scientific articles were also literature, and strived to reshape the Chinese people's outlook on life with a scientific literature outlook. Meanwhile, he examined the attitude of scientific literature view from the three dimensions of “righteousness from confucious classics, textual criticism and Ci zhang-poetry and literature”, establishing the idea of cherishing reality and preciseness for Chinese literature. Ren's “literature view” was a sign of an overall westernization of Chinese learning. His view reflected a separation of literature from modern academic learning and the path of the independent development of literati and modern scholars.

    Through an investigation of relevant books and popular newspapers, the paper analyzes and discusses the dissemination and popularization of home sanitation concept and knowledge during the Republic of China, especially during the New Life Movement. It found that the main disseminators are doctors with western medical background; The relevant guidances about home sanitation are mostly based on bacteriology, physiological anatomy, microbiology and nutrition, etc; The aim of such spreading is to make people's family life more scientific, and eventually to realize prosperity and modernization for the country.
