Since the establishment of the Science Communication Bureau of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the science communication activities of CAS as a national scientific research institution have gradually become systematic and standardized. The scientific communication work of CAS has also entered into a new stage. In the context of the growing varieties of variety shows in recent years, CAS has also participated in some technology variety shows. Through the analysis of two representative cases of CAS participating in the TV variety show, this paper explores the relevant practice of CAS as a national scientific research institution participating in the TV variety show after the establishment of the Communication Bureau of CAS, and summarizes the two modes of it in participating in the TV variety show: the “Resource Support” mode and the “Content Collaboration” mode. Some solutions to problems in practice process are also presented.
