Latest ArticlesTo construct a dynamic nomogram (DynNom) model for predicting postoperative recurrence in patients with glioma based on LASSO-logistic regression analysis.
Patients with glioma who underwent surgical treatment at The First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from August 2022 to December 2024 were selected as the study subjects.Their clinical data were collected.Univariate and multivariate LASSO-Logistic regression analyses were used to identify influencing factors for postoperative recurrence of glioma.A DynNom scoring model was established.
Among the 211 patients with glioma,57 experienced recurrence within 12 months after surgery, resulting in a recurrence rate of 27.01%.Regression analysis showed that Karnofsky Performance Status(KPS) score, disease stage, maximum tumor diameter, surgical resection, and postoperative concurrent chemoradiotherapy were influencing factors for postoperative recurrence in patients with glioma(P<0.05).The DynNom scoring model, established based on the regression analysis results, had an area under the receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve(AUC) of 0.807.The calibration curve was close to the ideal curve.
Multiple factors influence postoperative recurrence in patients with glioma. The DynNom scoring model constructed based on these risk factors demonstrates good predictive performance for the risk of postoperative recurrence in patients with glioma.
To investigate the association between dietary diversity and the risk of stroke among Chinese older adults.
Based on data from the Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey(CLHLS),a total of 10 402 older adults were included in this study.Differences in dietary and general characteristics between groups with different stroke statuses were compared.Logistic regression was used to analyze the association between dietary diversity and stroke risk, followed by subgroup analyses.
Chang scores of dietary diversity was negatively associated with the risk of stroke[OR=0.950,95%CI(0.913,0.988),P=0.010].The protective association was more pronounced among females, individuals aged ≥80 years, rural residents, and those with low education levels.
Improving dietary diversity may reduce the risk of stroke in older adults.Nursing staff should incorporate dietary diversity guidance into chronic disease management for the elderly and provide individualized dietary nursing interventions.

To explore the authentic feelings and experiences of sense of security in patients receiving high-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy, and to provide references for developing targeted interventions.
Using purposive sampling,semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted with 14 patients from the respiratory department of a tertiary hospital in Tianjin.Data were analyzed using Colaizzi's seven-step analysis method.
Based on Schmitt's strategic experiential modules, four themes and fifteen sub-themes were identified:sensory experience (discomfort from airflow impact, thermal distress from heated air, perceived improvement in ventilation, individual variability in device perception); emotional experience(initial anxiety and fear, gradual development of dependence and trust, helplessness from loneliness and passivity, dynamic fluctuation of security experience);cognitive experience(unclear understanding of device principles, enhanced sense of control through information transparency, improved confidence through self-assessment,rethinking of device dependence);and action experience(active posture adjustment for comfort, enhanced control through expressing needs, comparative experience from brief device removal).
Patients undergoing high-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy experience a dynamic and multidimensional sense of security.Healthcare providers should monitor changes in patients' sense of security across different treatment stages and implement individualized interventions to promote physical and psychological recovery.
To explore the latent profiles of social isolation in lung cancer patients and their influencing factors,so as to provide evidence for personalized psychological interventions.
Using convenience sampling,a total of 332 lung cancer patients from a tertiary hospital in Weifang city,Shandong province(August 2024 to February 2025) were surveyed.General information questionnaire,General Alienation Scale,Perceived Social Support Scale, and Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire were used.Latent profile analysis identified social isolation profiles.Logistic regression and decision tree models analyzed influencing factors.
Mean score of social isolation was (39.70±8.74),indicating moderate level.Three profiles were identified:high-level self-alienation type(58.2%),moderate-level isolation type(32.5%),and low-level meaninglessness-prominent type(9.3%).Logistic regression showed cancer stage, social support, confrontive coping, and avoidant coping were influencing factors(all P<0.05).Decision tree model further confirmed social support as the key factor.
Lung cancer patients showed significant heterogeneity in social isolation, influenced by social support, cancer stage, and other factors.Healthcare providers should develop individualized intervention strategies based on patients' social isolation types to improve their social and psychological well-being.
To explore the risk factors for acute skin failure patients in intensive care unit(ICU) and to construct a predictive model.
A total of 377 ICU patients from a tertiary grade A hospital between January 2021 and December 2023 were selected as the study subjects.Univariate analysis and Logistic regression analysis were used to identify the influencing factors for acute skin failure patients in ICU,based on which a risk prediction model was constructed and subsequently validated.
Among the 377 patients,89 developed acute skin failure, yielding an incidence rate of 23.6%.The Logistic regression analysis identified age, sepsis, peripheral perfusion index(PPI) use, albumin level, and vasopressor administration as significant influencing factors for acute skin failure. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve for the Nomogram model established based on these factors was 0.890,with a sensitivity of 89.2% and a specificity of 78.2%.The Hosmer-Lemeshow test indicated a good model fit(χ²=6.462,P=0.290).
The constructed risk prediction model for acute skin failure patients in ICU demonstrates excellent predictive performance. The model could serve as an effective and practical tool for identifying high-risk patients.
In response to the disconnection between current higher vocational nursing education and the competency requirements of emerging nursing positions,as well as the homogenization of talent cultivation, this study aims to construct a curriculum system for a "Nursing+" professional direction group that is closely aligned with job demands. The goal is to cultivate "specialized and versatile" interdisciplinary nursing professionals.
Integrating the iceberg model and competency-based education(CBE) theory, the Delphi method was employed to construct a "nursing+" nurse job competency evaluation index system encompassing three dimensions: knowledge, skills, and qualities.
A total of two rounds of expert consultations were conducted. The expert authority coefficients of second round was 0.97,and Kendall's coefficient of concordance was 0.37. Based on the constructed competency index system,a "Platform+Module+Practice" curriculum system was designed:a general education curriculum platform to solidify implicit competencies;a professional general platform to consolidate the foundation of explicit competencies; three directional module courses (elderly care, health management, and maternal & infant care) to focus on job-specific skills;and a "2+1" practical training model to enhance job adaptation.Additionally, deep integration of courses and certifications were achieved through a four-step mechanism:"standard deconstruction-course matching-resource reconstruction-dynamic updating".
The constructed curriculum system effectively bridges the gap between traditional nursing education and the needs of emerging nursing positions. It systematically cultivates high-quality interdisciplinary nursing talents, provides precise talent support for the development of the health industry, and promotes the reform of higher vocational nursing education.
To conduct a scoping review on the factors influencing nurses' medication safety,so as to provide insights for clinical rectification of potential safety hazards and formulation of targeted intervention measures.
Guided by the scoping review methodology of the Joanna Briggs Institute(JBI),a systematic search was performed in CINAHL,EMbase,PubMed,Web of Science, SinoMed and CNKI. Literatures related to the factors influencing medication safety of clinical nurses were extracted and systematically analyzed.
A total of 38 literatures were included.Based on the Total Quality Management theory, six dimensions of influencing factors related to clinical nurses' medication safety were identified, namely man, machine, material, method, environment and measurement.
Medication safety of clinical nurses is jointly affected by multi-level factors.Improving nurses' medication safety requires systematic optimization,closed-loop management, and the construction of a scientific and comprehensive training system for safe medication.
To conduct a scoping review of studies on empowerment education for family caregivers of children with chronic diseases. This review systematically summarized the characteristics of intervention protocols and outcome evaluation indicators. It aims to provide an evidence-based foundation for developing a standardized empowerment education program for these caregivers that is suitable for China's national conditions.
Guided by the scoping review methodology, computer searches were performed in PubMed, EMbase,Cochrane Library,Web of Science,Scopus,CINAHL,Wanfang Data,VIP Database,CNKI,and CBM.The search timeframe spanned from the inception of each database to August 2025.Two researchers independently conducted literature screening, data extraction, and quality assessment.Disagreements were resolved through consultation with a third researcher.
A total of 18 articles were included,comprising 5 quasi-experimental studies and 13 randomized controlled trials.These studies involved various childhood chronic diseases,including asthma,type 1 diabetes,congenital heart disease,epilepsy,and cancer.The main empowerment education models included family empowerment/empowerment education,the Family-Centered Empowerment Model(FCEM),and education guided by empowerment theory.The core process followed a closed-loop mechanism:"identifying problems-expressing emotions-setting goals-making plans-evaluating effects".Outcome indicators included caregiver-related measures(family function,readiness,psychological status,self-efficacy,caregiving ability,care burden,etc.) and child-related measures(physiological indicators,quality of life,disease cognition and management,etc.).
Empowerment education demonstrated clear effectiveness when applied to family caregivers of children with chronic diseases. It could improve caregivers' caregiving abilities and psychological status, and enhance child health outcomes.Future research should optimize theoretical frameworks by incorporating cross-cultural characteristics. It should also develop standardized intervention processes tailored to different disease types and population characteristics, and unify evaluation tools as well.
