    Generally speaking, It was not until Chinese society came to modern times that there have been a scientific popularization activities, Popular Science Writing would not be earlier than that time. Therefore, it was thought that the Medical Trimetrical Classic be out off popular science work, when published in 1804. However, according to the definition of the modern science popular work, we think the Medical Trimetrical Classic should be a reality of science popular work, because of the creation’s aim, the content’s characteristic, the popular range, as well as the value to promote Traditional Chinese Medicine. It will be helpful to study the popularization of Traditional Chinese Medicine in history by excavating its science popularization connotation.

    The paper reviews the origin of development of industrial popular science tourism in foreign countries, and analyzes the development status in China through industrial demonstration sites. Furthermore, the paper analyzes some problems in this regard, such as the unbalanced development effectiveness, the single variety of products, the weak performance of tourism awareness, the poor quality of services, and the outdated concept of development. The paper sums up a batch of successful experience concerning the development industrial popular science tourism in developed countries: Clear objectives, rich products, widely-distributed customers, flexible management, and attaching great importance to marketing strategy. Finally, combined with existing problems and the experience coming from developed countries, the paper provides references for the development of industrial popular science tourism in China, these are manifested in the following aspects: the balanced development effectiveness, the enriching structure of product varieties, the changing demand for tourism, the improvement of service quality, and trying hard to obtain support from the government.

    As a significant organization for the sake of improving the interaction between scientists, media and public, science media center plays an increasingly crucial role in science communication and science popularization. Although Japan did not establish its science media center until 2010, SMCJ functions well in a timely and effective manner in Japan. Especially during the Fukushima nuclear accident in 2011, SMCJ’s efforts and actions drew widespread attention. The paper analyzes its measures, influence and operation mechanism by collecting data about SMCJ’s reactions in Fukushima nuclear accident.

    The advent of mobile era leads to a revolutionary change in the mode of transmission of scientific knowledge. Effective science popularization should be based on context. It means that focus is placed on the perception of context and the adaptation of information. With the integration of Meyrowitz Theory, the paper firstly introduces four elements (space and environment, users’ real-timecondition, users’ life style and social atmosphere) of context, and secondly analyzes how to get adaptive context of science popularization, in a nutshell, some suggestions are proposed: the manifestation of science knowledge should be adaptive to the mobile context and the balance between standardization and individualization is necessary.

The result shows that hot issues that researchers across different regions pay heed to are more or less the same. These hot issues deserve great attention from researchers in China.

    Chinese society is undergoing transformation of the development pattern. To adapt to the new situation, adjustments of national development path, innovation elements and innovation strategy, position of public policy making, innovation culture construction and other aspects construct the current national development context. Based on judgments of new national development context, this paper makes an analysis of new requirements for science popularization work transformation: from four levels of science and technology open trend, transformation of public resources and market resources integration, rapid coverage of mobile Internet and information service industry, national demand for inclusive science and science popularization. Besides, following suggestions are put forward for transformation objectives of science popularization work: 1. start project concerning the national scientific literacy construction resource configuration from top design; 2. promote development of consumption science popularization industry; 3. Implement engineering of the national science popularization service open platform; 4. build service system and service pattern for “national innovation and business startups”.

    An investigation was carried out on the status quo of science popularization informationizationin China from June. 2013 to Dec. 2014, and subsequently we compared the survey data with the survey results of Chinese citizens’ scientific literacy conducted in Nov, 2010 and Sept, 2015, that can help us clearly identify some main difficulties facing science popularization. The main findings are stated as follows: 1. The public demand for science popularization informatization has increased, the Internet has become the most preferred media channel among which web portals and mobile media has become the most favorable one; 2. TV media is still the most impressive and favorite way to obtain science information, but an overwhelming majority of programs lack accurate positioning and their contents and styles are basically the same; 3. Professional popular science books and periodicals is a way that the public trust most in terms of acquiring information on science and technology, but transmission channels still lack innovative elements; 4. A new type of media featuring mass participation and entertainment has become a new trend for science popularization informationization; 5. Most of the public think that science popularization informatization is doing well, but the development in this regard needs to be further improved, and what the public expect most is to make online sci-tech museum and traditional media forms as the ideal channels used for science popularization informationzation; 6. Science popularization informatization level of migrant workers is developing at a slower pace compared with other groups; 7. Weaker and not rigorous selecting criteria and a lack of interdisciplinary talents have truly hampered the development of science popularization informationization.
