Science education develops quickly and it has reaped remarkable achievements for the recent 20 years. As the most important forum for international science education community, JRST has kept track of its development and growth. Therefore, the paper systematically analyzes 20 years’ papers of JRST by six variables involving the topic, subject content, research object and research style to describe the research’s current situation and frontier picture of international science education, and sums up five suggestions for the related researches in China.
