    Responding to the national call of “Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation” under the current times, a new wave of technological innovation activities are taking shape in China, it also opens up a new way for people to participate in construction of science culture. In the future, Chinese science culture should be transferred from circle culture of “the scientific community” into a kind of social culture jointly built and shared by the public. To handle and eliminate unhealthy social trend and conduct serves as a foundation for the people to build the scientific culture. Constructing national education system for science culture, encouraging non-governmental organizations to participate in the construction and operation of scientific culture, carrying out diversified projects for the public to get to know science, and promoting the international cooperation and communication, serves as an essentially important way for the public to participate in science culture construction.

    In recent years, there have been a lot of rumors about the technical risk. Based on two cases about the risk of nuclear technology rumors, the paper analyzes the process of interpreting the signals where risk rumors are released, and interpretation of the public based on the technical characteristics of the subjective feelings of risk. Due to the existence of public perception bias, false rumors become so appalling “fact”, resulting in the fact that technical risks are constructed and amplified artificially. The paper draws the following conclusions: the social amplification of technical risk makes the public have a perception of “true faith”, becoming a catalyzer for irrational behavior in rumors, adding to the difficulty in eliminating technical risk rumors, and prompting the attention towards the metaphor behind the rumors of technical risks.

    Science communication is influenced by various factors of social context, such as politics, economy, culture and history, which has different impact on science communication in different time and space domain. On a global scale, current social context for science communication are experiencing three crucial changes: the science and society relationship is increasing close, the science and public relationship is increasing close and Modern information technology revolution opened up a new era of media. China is a country with appreciable geographic diversity, where exist huge gap in economic, social, educational and science and technology development between rural and urban area as well as among different regions. The imbalance development makes social context of science communication in China has both general issues facing other countries and prominent localized features. Diversity is a local characteristic, among others, of social context for science communication in China. The demand of citizens in China on science communication presents diversified and complex features, which were intensified by the leapfrog development of science communication pattern brought by new media. Based upon above considerations, China is taking public science communication strategy in a localized way with government-driven and social participation features. The paper looks forward to more attention to the impact of social context for science communication, and broadening the research perspectives on diversity under variety social context.

    A large number of researches have been conducted to cultivate students’ positive attitudes towards science, that has been an important goal in science education. The paper conducted a questionnaire survey among 6356 students from 20 senior high schools respectively located in Eastern, Central and Western regions in China to explore the main characteristics of Chinese students’ attitudes towards science by using PISA 2006 science survey tools. Results found in the paper show that Chinese students aged 15-17 are very positive to science and science related issues, and they are very supportive of science enquiry, and very interested in science and science career. However, Chinese students’ attitudes towards science remain relatively shallow in scope. The paper provides some suggestions for fostering students’ positive attitudes towards science in line with the research results obtained.

    This study conducted a series of content analyses of the articles published by Journal of Research in Science Teaching from 1982 to 2013. A total of 1803 research papers were analyzed by HistCiteTM. Research results found were analyses in terms of author’s nationality, quality of the journal, citation frequency and research historical context. By citations chronological chart clearly expressed the context of science education research and development, in order to capture the evolution of trends in the field. The most of the published articles for the development of China’s science and education to provide a frame, in order to enhance public scientific literacy, indirectly promote technological innovation.

    Nowadays, the public service advertising of science popularization has started occurrence and got high attention and support from some local government of China. But, the theoretical research on this field is still vacant in China. This paper reviewed the relevant research and the practice experiences of the public service advertising of science popularization in China, and compared with the research and practice in foreign country. Then we got the conclusion that the development of the public service advertising of science popularization in China is insufficient. In view of this situation, we made some advisement for the developing of the public service advertising of science popularization.

    Facing the changing of talent demand and diversified ways of museum talent cultivation, the major crisis of museology is already apparent in Chinese universities. It is urgent matter to break the museology limitations of awkward affiliations and narrow positioning, and to explore paths of talent cultivation of natural science museums in Chinese universities. Based on the theoretical analysis of current situations of museology in Chinese universities, it is found that there are two reasons of concept and institutional mechanism not to meet the needs of personnel training in natural science museums. It is suggested that it is conducive to train cross-subjects persons for profession by binary complex mode, the master-minor composite mode, or general education mode, based on correcting the concept of museology and construction of talent cultivation mechanism.

    Construction of science popularization capacity and science popularization resources not only requires construction of “hard resources” such as infrastructure in science and technology museum and science popularization exhibits, but also requires construction and improvement of “soft resources” such as professionals of science and technology museum. The quality of professional team directly decides the comprehensive strength of science and technology museum, capacity to design science popularization exhibits and level of scheming and organizing science popularization activities and carrying out science popularization services. With rapidly developing high technology, it is imperative for sustainable development of science and technology museum undertaking in China to forge a professional team of science and technology museum with appropriate scale, reasonable structure, excellent quality and powerful guarantee. This paper takes China Science and Technology Museum as an example, proposes existing deficiencies in construction of professional team of China Science and Technology Museum through analyzing current situation of professional team of China Science and Technology Museum, presents strategic management concept for professional team of China Science and Technology Museum through SWOT model and puts forward suggestions and imaginations of corresponding measures targeted at existing problems.

    This article takes the “AST Space” in Zhejiang Science and Technology Museum as an example, and investigates and analyzes the idea, system and operation mode of the science popularization education in AST Space. In the end, this paper extracts with the successful adolescent science popularization education expansion practice of AST Space, from which a scheme of feasible principles can be used by other science and technology museums.

    In order to study the cognition of the parents participating in the series of parent-child science-popularization educational activities, Museum of Chengdu University of Technology designs the details of five aspects including the analysis of the parent-child activity participants, the interpretation of parent-child relationship, the frequency and personnel makeup of the parent-child activities and the analysis of the participation willing. According to the analysis results, it is known that museum’s carrying out series of parent-child activities has great potential. The participating objects are mainly the children from the kindergarten to Grade 4 of primary school and their parents. The parents in the activities pay more attention to the experience and practice of their children and thus have further cognition about the parent-child relationship. The cognition is good to set up and improve parent-child relationship. In this age which is full of media, the museum should establish service awareness, strengthen the joint with corresponding social organizations, design and carry out series of parent-child activities with museum characteristics.
