Latest ArticlesA series of orange red-emitting NaLa1-xSmxMgWO6 phosphors were synthesized by a conventional solid-state reaction method. The crystal structure, microstructure, luminescence properties and thermal stability were investigated. The results show that NaLa1-xSmxMgWO6 crystals form in a monoclinic structure with a space group of C2/m. Under an excitation at 406 nm, the emission spectra of NaLa1-xSmxMgWO6 phosphors exhibit a most intense red emission peak at 645 nm, corresponding to the 4G5/2→6H9/2 transition of Sm3+. The photoluminescence intensity of the sample firstly increases and then decreases with the increase of Sm3+ doping concentration. The optimal concentration of Sm3+ appears at x=0.05. The mechanism of energy transfer between Sm3+ is proved to be dipole-dipole interaction based on the analysis of the concentration quenching curve. In addition, the temperature quenching behavior was also investigated according to the Arrhenius equation, and the results reveal that the quenching process of 4G5/2 can be ascribed to the crossover process, and the calculated activation energy is 0.326 eV.
ZIF-67 as one kind of zeolitic imidazolate frameworks was synthesized by a conventional precipitation method, and the mother liquor was concentrated and crystallized to recover cobalt-based compounds. For AB hydrolysis, two kinds of Co3O4 catalyst precursors (i.e., Co3O4-S and Co3O4-L) were prepared from the ZIF-67 and recovered compounds via calcination treatment, respectively. The morphology and phase composition of the samples were characterized by field-emission scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction, respectively. Effects of AB and catalyst concentration and reaction temperature on the hydrogen generation rates and kinetics were investigated. The results show that Co3O4-S has a porous and polyhedral structure, and Co3O4-L is composed of nanoparticles. In addition, increasing AB and catalyst concentration can enhance the hydrogen generation rates. The maximum hydrogen production rates do not decline in the presence of Co3O4-S, but decrease to 78% of the initial level in the presence of Co3O4-L after recycling for four times.

It is indicated that the multi-row bubbling technique for glass furnace could enhance the heat efficiency, glass quality and melting rate of the furnace.
0.935Bi1/2Na1/2TiO3-0.065BaTiO3-0.01Al6Bi2O12 (BNT-BT-AB) thin films were prepared via pulse laser deposition (PLD) on the substrates of Pt(111)/Ti/SiO2/Si (Pt) and LaNiO3 buffered Pt (111)/Ti/SiO2/Si (LNO/Pt), respectively. The morphology structure and electric properties of the films were investigated by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy and ferroelectric analysis. The BNT-BT-AB film deposited on LNO/Pt has a (100) preferred orientation, the surface morphology is flat, the residual polarization 2Pr is 21.25 μC/cm2, and the dielectric constant (700) and dielectric tenability (23%) are greater than those of the BNT-BT-AB film deposited on Pt, and the enhanced piezoelectric coefficient d33* is 150 pm/V.
Polyvinyl/pyrrolidone (PVP)/Zn1-xCoxO(0-0.08) composite nanofibers were fabricated by a sol-gel process and an electrospinning technique. After calcination at 600 ℃, Zn1-xCoxO(0-0.08) nanofibers were obtained. The phase composition, morphology, structure and electromagnetic properties of the samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and vector network analysis. The results show that Zn1-xCoxO nanofibers obtained by calcination at 600 ℃ for 2 h are a hexagonal wurtzite structure with the fiber diameter of approximately 100 nm. Compared to pure ZnO nanofibers, the microwave absorption properties of Zn1-xCoxO nanofibers are enhanced, and the main absorbing mechanism is dielectric loss. The absorption effect of the sample is optimized when the matching layer thickness is 2 mm and x=0.04. At the frequency of 8.2 GHz, the minimum reflectivity is -30.6 dB, the absorption band below -10 dB is 6.7-9.7 GHz, and the bandwidth reaches 3 GHz. The absorbing properties of the fibers increase, compared to those of Zn0.96Co0.04O powder sample.
Waste Cu scraps and waste copper etchant were simultaneously recycled in the form of tetrahedron-like CuCl crystal via one-step facile comproportionation reaction, and its electrochemical Li-storage performance was also evaluated. The results show that the resultant tetrahedron-like CuCl crystals possess four smooth triangular surfaces and six isometric sides. CuCl-based anode delivers a reversible discharge capacity of 101.8 mAh/g even cycling at 10 C for 2 000 cycles, which is greater than that of graphite anode under the same conditions, implying the satisfactory long term Li-storage cyclic stability at a high rate. These results could facilitate to promote the development of circular economy mode of waste Cu-based resources and sustainable energy.
Li-rich manganese-based 0.5Li2MnO3·0.5LiCo0.5Mn0.5O2 cathode materials for lithium ion battery were prepared by a co-precipitation method and subsequnet lithium mixing and calcination. The phase composition, morphology and structure, valance state, particle size distribution and tap density of the prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, laser particle size analysis and tap density measurement. The electrochemical performance of the samples was analyzed by means of charge and discharge tester. The results show that the sample prepared by co-precipitation at a low stirring speeds has a solid spherical morphology, which is assembly of massiverod-like primary particles. The sample prepared at high stirring speeds has a morphology of dispersed microrods. The as-prepared solid sphere sample exhibits a greater tap density of 1.7 g/cm3 and better electrochemical performances (i.e., discharge capacity of 233.8 mA·h/g at 0.2 C rate, 2 C/0.2 C specific discharge capacity ratio of 62.2% and capacity retention up to 90.8% at 0.5 C rate after 100 cycles), compared to the dispersed microrod sample.

The electrolyte supported single cell, assembled with Ni-Gd0.1Ce0.9O2-δ as an anode, LSGM (300 μm) as an electrolyte and the SBFCO as a cathode, delivers a maximum power density of 831 mW/cm2 at 800 ℃.
Nickel-rich ternary cathode materials are the preferred cathode materials for large power lithium ion batteries due to their high capacity and high power. However, high nickel ternary cathode materials have some disadvantages, such as poor cyclic stability and fast capacity fading. It is indicated that cationic mixing, precipitation of transition metal element, oxygen vacancy, etc. are direct factors causing the material phase transformation, while interfacial film, overcharge, microcrack, etc. can further accelerate the material capacity fading. The existing modification technologies, such as element doping, surface coating and material composite, can inhibit the capacity fading of materials. In this review, the capacity fading mechanism and modification methods of high nickel ternary materials in recent years were represented, and a outlook for its future development was prospected.
