Baihuasheshecao（Hedyotidis Diffusae Herba）is a traditional Chinese medicine in China with a history of thousands of years，and its chemical composition is diverse，including flavonoids and their glycosides，terpenoids，anthraquinones，steroids，organic acids，phenylpropanin and coumarin.Modern studies have shown that Baihuasheshecao（Hedyotidis Diffusae Herba）has anti-tumor，anti-inflammatory，antibacterial，antioxidant and immune system modulation pharmacological effects.In this paper，the chemical composition and pharmacological effects of quality Marker（Q-Marker）were summarized，and according to the concept of Q-Marker，it analyzed and predicted the Q-Markers of Baihuasheshecao（Hedyotidis Diffusae Herba）from the aspects of plant genelogy，traditional medicinal properties and efficacy，chemical composition traceability，different origins and harvest periods，compound compatibility and chemical composition measurability，in order to provide a basis for the establishment of a comprehensive and scientific quality control system of Q-Marker.
