To explore the therapeutic effect of Juanbi Decoction（蠲痹汤）assisted with eramode and methotrexate in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.

A total of 82 patients with rheumatoid arthritis admitted from May 2021 to May 2023 were evenly divided into western medicine group and combined decoction group by random number table method，with 41 cases in each group.The patients in the western medicine group were treated with eramode and methotrexate，while those in the combined decoction group were treated with eramode and methotrexate，supplemented by Juanbi Decoction.In the course of treatment，2 cases fell off in the western medicine group and 1 case fell off in the combined decoction group.The data of patients in each group was compared，including the clinical efficacy，the TCM symptom scores（morning stiffness，joint dampness and swelling pain，weak mouth，sore waist and knee，heavy limbs，etc.）before and after treatment，the numbers of joint redness，swelling and pain，the time of morning stiffness，the changes in erythrocyte sedimentation rate（ESR）and rheumatoid factor（RF）levels，the levels of interleukin-17（IL-17）and tumor bad factorα（TNF-α），joint disease motion（DAS28）score of patients after 1，2 and 3 months of treatment and treatment adverse reactions.

The total effective rate of the combined decoction group was higher than that of the western medicine group（P<0.05）.After treatment，TCM symptom scores（morning stiffness，joint damp，cold and swollen pain，weak mouth and no thirst，waist and knee soreness，limb heaviness，etc.）of patients in both groups were decreased，the number of joint redness，swelling and pain was decreased，the time of morning stiffness was shortened，and the levels of ESR，RF，IL-17 and TNF-αwere significantly decreased.After treatment in the combined decoction group，the TCM syndrome scores（morning stiffness，joint dampness and swelling pain，weak mouth，sore waist and knee，heavy limb，etc.），the number of joint redness，swelling and pain，the morning stiffness time，the levels of ESR，RF，IL-17 and TNF-αwere significantly lower than those in the western medicine group（P<0.05）.After 1，2 and 3 months of treatment，the DAS28 score of the combined decoction group was significantly lower than that of the western medicine group（P<0.05）.The adverse reaction rate of the combined decoction group was lower than that of the western medicine group（P<0.05）.

Juanbi Decoction assisted eramod and methotrexate in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis has a good effect，and the symptoms of patients can be significantly improved after treatment with few adverse reactions.The treatment is safe and feasible.
