To investigate the effects of Xiaoqinglong Decoction（小青龙汤）combined with glucocorticoids on pulmonary function and serum indexes in patients with bronchial asthma.

A total of 108 patients with bronchial asthma were selected and divided into two groups according to random number table method.The study group（54 cases）was treated with Xiaoqinglong Decoction combined with glucocorticoid，and the control group（54 cases）was treated with glucocorticoid.The clinical efficacy，TCM syndrome scores，lung function indexes［forced expiratory volume in first second（FEV1），forced vital capacity（FVC），forced expiratory flow at 50% of FVC exhaled（FEF50%），peak expiratory flow rate（PEF）］，laboratory indexes［C-reactive protein（CRP），serum transforming growth faction-β1（TGF-β1），Cellular signal transduction molecules-3（Smad-3）］and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared.

The total effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group（P<0.05）.After treatment，the scores of cough，wheezing，sputum and headache in both groups were decreased（P<0.05），and the scores in the study group were lower than those in the control group（P<0.05）.After treatment，the values of FEV1，FVC，FEF50% and PEF of the study group were increased（P<0.05），and the values of the study group were higher than those of the control group（P<0.05）.After treatment，the levels of CRP，TGF-β1 and SAMad-3 in both groups were decreased（P<0.05），and the levels of in the study group were lower than those in the control group（P<0.05）.There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups（P>0.05）.

Xiaoqinglong Decoction combined with glucocorticoid therapy in patients with bronchial asthma can improve lung function indexes andreduce the levels of TGF-β1 and SAMAD-3，with good efficacy and safety.
