The etiology of early threatened abortion is complex，the incidence has a significant increasing trend，and the clinical treatment is more complicated.If left untreated and mistreated，the risk of adverse pregnancy will be increased.Shoutai Pill（寿胎丸）is good at treating pregnant women with embryonic development retardation，which has significant advantages in fetal protection and its effect is strong，with the truth of “same sounds resonating，same scents blending together”，and has the effect of treating both Yin and Yang of liver and kidney and nourishing Qi and blood.Modern pharmacological studies have also shown that Shoutai Pill can affect pregnancy outcomes and prevent and treat threatened abortion.Shoutai Pill，as a traditional Chinese medicine compound，has “multi-component，multi-target” effect，can enhance the endometrial receptivity，regulate the uterine decidual protein expression，improve the level of sex hormone，balance the inflammatory microenvironment，improve the trophoblast cell function，mediate the water channel protein，regulate the autophagy，inhibit the oxidative stress，pyroptosis and iron death，etc.The mechanism is clear and the role is clear，which proves the effect of Shoutai Pill.In clinical research，Shoutai Pill can not only treat early threatened abortion，but also be used for complications such as threatened abortion with subchorionic hematoma.In addition，the combined application with western medicine can have the effect of increasing efficiency，attenuation and prevention before disease.This paper expounded the application and research status of Shoutai Pill in early threatened abortion from four aspects of formula analysis，pharmacology research，fetal preservation mechanism and clinical research，in order to provide reference for the research and development of fetal preservation drugs and scientific understanding，inheritance and development of traditional Chinese medicine.
