To study the effect of Jiedu Sangen Decoction（解毒三根汤）on CT-26 cells in colon cancer.
Ninety healthy and clean BALB/c mice were randomly divided into control group，model group and Jiedu Sangen Decoction group. The colon cancer mouse models in all groups except for the control group were established. The model group received normal saline by gavage，and the Jiedu Sangen Decoction group received Jiedu Sangen Decoction by gavage. After 1 week，the serum was obtained from each group through eyeball. The serum of mice in each group was co-cultured with CT-26 cells，the cell proliferation was detected by MTT method，the cell migration was detected by Transwell method，the cell invasion was detected by invasion test，and the protein expressions of Bax and bcl-2 were detected by Western blot.
After 24 h，48 h and 72 h of cell cultured，the light absorption values of the Jiedu Sangen Decoction group were 0.198±0.068，0.321±0.103 and 0.462±0.106，which were significantly lower than those of the control group and the model group（P<0.05）. The numbers of migrating cells and invading cells in the Jiedu Sangen Decoction group were（122.03±10.48）/HPand（32.10±5.15）/HP，which were significantly lower than those in the control group and the model group（P<0.05）. The relative expression level of Bax protein in Jiedu Sangen Decoction group was 0.978±0.106，significantly higher than that in the control serum group and model serum group（P<0.05），while the relative expression level of Bcl-2 protein was 0.354±0.092，significantly lower than that in the control group and model group（P<0.05）.
Jiedu Sangen Decoction can inhibit the proliferation，migration and invasion of colon cancer CT-26 cells，and its mechanism may be related to the regulation of the expressionsof Bax and Bcl-2.
