Outline
This paper highlighted the research status of medicinal insects in the treatment of heart diseases from both ancient literature and modern research. The research findings on the treatment of heart diseases with medicinal insects were sorted out from the ancient literature，and the current research status of the treatment of heart diseases with medicinal insects was summarized by etiology，pathogenesis，tendency of disease，indications and pharmacology. In particular，several problems，direction and trend of future research in the treatment of heart diseases with medicinal insects were pointed out. These two aspects provided reference for further in-depth research on the treatment of heart diseases with medicinal insects.
