Lung cancer is one of the most prevalent malignant tumors in clinical practice with high morbidity and mortality，which poses a major threat to human life and health. Even though great progress has been made on therapeutic strategy，the outcome is still unsatisfactory. Traditional Chinese medicine（TCM）has significant superiority in improving quality of life，delaying disease progression and improving chemoresistance. For malignant diseases，TCM has unique advantages to some extent. Zeqi Decoction（泽漆汤，ZQD），is scattered from Synopsis of the Golden Chamber and possesses the effect of dissipating phlegm and clearing heat. It is frequently used in the treatment of lung cancer in TCM. Basic experiments demonstrated that ZQD inhibited the growth and progression of lung cancer through various pathways，such as inducing cell apoptosis，blocking cell cycle，inhibiting tumor cell migration and invasion，reducing the number of myeloid-derived suppressor cells（MDSCs）and inhibiting their immunosuppressive activity，enhancing the killing powder of natural killer（NK）cells and so on. In addition，main active ingredients，such as luteolin，quercetin，kaempferol，gallic acid，beta-sitosterol，ursolic acid，baicalein and baicalin，also play various roles in anti-tumor，anti-oxidant，anti-angiogenesis，regulating inflammation and immunity. This review aimed to summary clinical application and basic mechanism of ZQD in the treatment of lung cancer. Meanwhile，furthermore researches are needed to explore the mechanism of ZQD in lung cancer.
