Fuling（Poria）was a dried sclerotium of Fuling［Poria cocos（Schw.）Wolf］in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia（2020 edition）. Fuling（Poria）is a common traditional Chinese medicinal herb with a long history of medicinal and edible value was first published in Shennong Herbal Classics，known as“nine Fuling（Poria）in ten formulae”. The whole body of Fuling［Poria cocos（Schw.）Wolf］is treasure，according to the different medicinal parts and effects，often divided into Fulingpi（Poriae Cutis），Baifuling（White Poria）and Fushen（Poria cum Radix Pini）. In order to introduce advances of its herbalism，chemical composition，pharmacological activity and clinical application research progress is the theoretical basis for the rational application of Fuling［Poria cocos（Schw.）Wolf］and achieving maximum value. This article reviewed the herbalism，chemical components and pharmacological activities of the three parts of Fulingpi（Poriae Cutis），Baifuling（White Poria）and Fushen（Poria cum Radix Pini）by consulting relevant literature and compiling modern literature reports. The aim was to provide some reference and basis for the better development，utilization and research of the medicinal and edible value of Fuling［Poria cocos（Schw.）Wolf］.
