To analyze the clinical effect of Modified Banxia Xiexin Decoction（半夏泻心汤）in the treatment of chronic gastritis.

A total of 128 patientswith chronic gastritis admitted to our hospital from February 2021 to July 2024 were included as the research objects. They were divided into two groups by the random number tablemethod.64 patients in the control group were treated with the Western medicine quadruple therapy，and 64 patients in the observation group were treated with themodified Banxia Xiexin Decoction on the basis of the above-mentioned treatment. The differences in curative effects，TCM syndrome scores，gastric mucosal function，inflammatory factors，and Helicobacter pylori（Hp）negative conversion rate were compared between the two groups.

The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 96.88%（62/64），which wasmuch higher than 82.81%（53/64）in the control group，and the difference between the two groups was significant（P<0.05）. After treatment，the scores of four symptoms，including epigastric pain，fullness and discomfort，epigastric burning，belching and acid reflux，bitter taste and drymouth in the observation group were lower than those in the control group（P<0.05）. After treatment，the levels of pepsinogen I（PG I），pepsinogenⅡ（PGⅡ），pepsinogen ratio（PGR），gastrin-17（G-17），and the levels of inflammatory factors such as tumor necrosis factor-α（TNF-α），interleukin-1β（IL-1β），and interleukin-6（IL-6）in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group（P<0.05）. One month after treatment，the Hp negative conversion rate in the observation group was 90.63%（58/64），which was significantly higher than 75.00%（48/64）in the control group，and the difference between the two groupswas significant（P<0.05）.
