Gastric ulcer（GU）is a kind of peptic ulcer disease. The patients often show symptoms such as epigastric pain，belching，acid swallowing and fullness. In clinical practice，traditional Chinese medicine is used to treat GU，which has the advantages of good efficacy，few side effects and high safety. The location of GU is in the spleen and stomach of the middle energizer，and the deficiency cold of the spleen and stomach is one of the main pathogenesis of GU. The method should be to warm the spleen. Among them，the representative prescription Huangqi Jianzhong Decoction（黄芪建中汤）has the effects of warming Yang，tonifying deficiency and relieving acute pain. It is a classic prescription for the treatment of GU that has been tested in practice and has a clear curative effect. In this paper，by searching the relevant literature on the clinical application and experimental research of Huangqi Jianzhong Decoction in the treatment of GU，it is found that both clinical application and experimental research can prove that Huangqi Jianzhong Decoction has a good effect in the treatment of GU. In clinical application，it is found that Huangqi Jianzhong Decoction，or combined with western medicine，or combined with acupuncture can effectively improve the symptoms of patients，with high efficiency and few adverse reactions. The experimental study also proved that Huangqi Jianzhong Decoction may treat GU by regulating gastric mucosal epithelial cells，regulating inflammatory factors，improving oxidative stress and other ways. Therefore，this article discussed the treatment of GU with Huangqi Jianzhong Decoction from theory，clinical application and experimental research，aiming to further study the new progress of Huangqi Jianzhong Decoction in the treatment of GU，in order to provide new ideas and basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
