Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction（黄芪桂枝五物汤），originating from Synopsis of the Golden Chamber，has the function of warming the body，regulating blood flow and relieving joint stiffness. It is widely used to treat various diseases with the main pathogenesis of Qi deficiency，cold congealing and blood stasis. With the rapid development of modern pharmacology，modern pharmacological research，animal experiments and clinical observation studies on Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction have gradually deepened，providing new ideas for the clinical application of Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction. Therefore，this paper systematically reviewed the modern pharmacological research and clinical application of Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction from two perspectives，and described the current application status of Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction in treating peripheral nerve lesions，cardiovascular and cerebrovascular system diseases，rheumatic diseases and bone injuries in clinical practice，intending to provide reference for the treatment of related diseases with Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction.
