Hemoptysis is a common symptom in respiratory medicine, triggered by various respiratory diseases, and traditional Chinese medicine offers effective treatment. Diagnostic and Therapeutic Criteria for Traditional Chinese Medicine（ZY/T001.1—94）was approved and issued by the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1994, no longer meets the needs of contemporary clinical diagnosis and treatment in traditional Chinese medicine. This revision is based on evidence from evidence-based medicine and the requirements of General Revision and Development Principle for Specification ofDiagnosis and Therapeutic Effect Evaluation ofDiseases and Syndromes in Traditional Chinese Medicine（ZY/T 10—2024）. It was finalized through a series of steps including an evaluation of the applicability evaluation of the original standard, expert interview meetings, three rounds of Delphi method expert questionnaires and expert consensus meetings. Based on this foundation, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Criteria for Traditional Chinese Medicine: Hemoptysis（Revised）was drafted to establish a standardized system for the clinical diagnosis, treatment and scientific research of hemoptysis in traditional Chinese medicine.
