As a Qi-tonifying drug, Huangqi (Astragali Radix) contains a variety of active ingredients such as Astragalus polysaccharides and Astragalus saponins. It can exert various pharmacological effects such as anti-inflammation, anti-oxidation and immune regulation through multiple targets and multiple pathways, and has application value in the prevention and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. A variety of classic prescriptions containing Huangqi (Astragali Radix) can play a significant role in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis by benefiting Qi and dispelling wind, warming meridians and dredging collaterals, removing dampness and relieving pain. Through the review of the mechanism of Huangqi (Astragali Radix) and its active ingredients in the prevention and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, it is beneficial to the further development of Huangqi (Astragali Radix) and its active ingredients in the prevention and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, and to achieve the goal of improving the effect of Huangqi and its active ingredients in the prevention and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.
