Zexie Decoction（泽泻汤）is a classic prescription from ZHANG Zhongjing's Synopsis of the Golden Chamber，which is a classic prescription for inducing diuresis and removing water，strengthening spleen and controlling water. It is mostly used in modern clinics for the treatment of vertigo，hypertension，hyperlipidemia and other diseases with remarkable efficacy. In this article，it reviewed the progress of research on the chemical compositions，pharmacological effects and clinical applications of Zexie Decoction in recent years，and analyzed its quality marker（Q-Marker）prediction based on the concept of Q-Marker. The results showed that the compositions of alisol A，alisol B，23-acetate alisol B，alisol C，23-acetyl alisol C，alisol G，sitosterol，atractylenolide Ⅱ，atractylenolide Ⅲ，atractylone and polysaccharide of atractylodes macrocephala can be used as the Q-Markers of Zexie Decoction，which can be used to provide references for the subsequent quality studies of Zexie Decoction and its related preparations.
