Esophageal cancer is a malignant tumor characterized by esophageal mucosal epithelial dysplasia with high incidence and poor prognosis. Effective prevention and treatment of esophageal cancer is an important problem to be solved urgently in medical field. Qige Powder（启膈散），which comes from Yixue Xinwu，is a “switch agent to relieve choking diaphragm”，and is widely used in the treatment of esophageal cancer in various stages. Based on this，a total of 142 literatures from 2002 to 2023 were retrieved，136 of which were valid，using “Qige Powder，Qige Formula，promoting Qi and eliminating phlegm，esophageal cancer and network pharmacology” as the search terms. The systematic analysis was conducted from the aspects of etiology，pathogenesis，prescription connotation，clinical application and basic research evidence to deeply discuss the research status and feasibility of Qige Powder in the treatment of esophageal cancer，providing theoretical and evidence support for the application of Qige Powder in the treatment of esophageal cancer.
