Meiguihua（Rosae Rugosae Flos）as a Chinese medicine to slow down the aging process has a long history of dual-use，and is an anti-aging drug that appears frequently in anti-aging and liver preservation related formulae. Modern scientific research further reveals thatMeiguihua（Rosae Rugosae Flos）contains volatile oil，polysaccharides，flavonoids，polyphenols and a variety of essential amino acids，etc.，and the synergistic mechanism among the components produces significant biological effects. Through the removal of free radicals in the body，regulation of inflammatory signaling pathways，enhancement of immune defensemechanisms and other pathways，it can effectively enhance the body＇s ability to resistoxidative stress and anti-aging level，which can provide a scientific basis for its application in the field ofmodern anti-aging，a scientific basis for its application in modern anti-aging field. Traditional Chinesemedicine believes thatemotional disorders are themain cause of aging，and longterm accumulation will cause liver dysfunction. Liver，as an importantorgan that regulates emotions，is the starting pointof the aging process. Meiguihua（Rosae Rugosae Flos）has the effect of detoxifying liver and relieving depression，which can regulate liver Qi，relieve emotional depression and enable the function of liver to be normalized，thus slowing down aging. The aim of this paper was to integrate traditional Chinesemedicine theories and modern scientific research results，summarized the biological activities of roses，generalized their pharmacological effects and anti-agingmechanism，and analyzed the effects of liver detoxification and depressants on aging based on the theory of traditional Chinesemedicine，so as to provide new ideas andmethods for the study of Meiguihua（Rosae Rugosae Flos）in the anti-aging process.
