Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction（HFpEF）is the main type of heart failure，and modern medicine lacks sufficient treatment options for it. Traditional Chinese Medicine has certain potentiality in the prevention and treatment of HFpEF. However，the inconsistency of syndrome diagnosis limits the improvement of clinical efficacy and research quality. To standardize the syndrome diagnosis of HFpEF，Expert Consensus on Syndrome Diagnosis of Qi Deficiency，Blood Stasis and Fluid Retention in Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction Based on Combination of Western Medicine Disease and Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome and Expert Consensus on Syndrome Diagnosis of Yang Deficiency，Yin Deficiency and Phlegm in Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction Based on Combination of Western Medicine Disease and Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome（hereinafter collectively referred to as Consensus）were developed and published. This paper interpreted the ideas and characteristics of Consensus，in order to provide reference for the majority of colleagues to understand and apply Consensus correctly.
