Qingfengteng（Caulis Sinomenll），as the dried cane of Qingteng［Sinomenium acutum（Thunb.）Rehd. et Wils.］and Maoqingteng［Sinomenium acutum（Thunb.）Rehd. et Wils. var. cinereum Rehd. et Wils］，is now included in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia. It has a long history of being used as the medicine and rich literature records，and has profound cultural and medicinal value. In this paper，the research，pharmacological effects，clinical application and adverse reactions of Qingfengteng（Caulis Sinomenll）were summarized. On this basis，the quality markers of Qingfengteng（Caulis Sinomenll）were predicted by using the quality markers of traditional Chinese medicine（Q-Marker）as a guide，in order to provide an important reference for its quality control and research，and provide relevant reference for further development，utilization and research of Qingfengteng（Caulis Sinomenll）.
