To investigate the effect of Wuzi Xiezhuo Decoction（五子泄浊汤）combined with acupuncture on glucose and lipid metabolism and ovulation rate in obese polycystic ovary syndrome.

Eighty cases of obese polycystic ovary syndrome were randomly divided into a control group and a study group，with 40 cases in each group. The control group was given Diane-35 and Metformin orally，and the study group was given Wuzi Xiezhuo Decoction combined with acupuncture at abdominal acupoints. The changes of glucose metabolism index，lipid metabolism index，sex hormone level and ovulation were observed before and after treatment.

The levels of fasting blood sugar（FBG），fasting insulin（FINS）and homeostasis model assessment-insulin resistance（HOMA-IR）before treatment in the study group and the control group were not significant（P>0.05）. The above indexes decreased after treatment compared with those before treatment，and the decline level in the study group was greater than that in the control group（P<0.05）. The levels of total serum cholesterol（TC），triacylglycerol（TG），high-density lipoprotein cholesterol（HDL-C）and low density lipoprotein cholesterol（LDL-C）in the two groups before treatment were compared（P>0.05）. The levels of TC，TG and LDL-C after treatment were lower than those before treatment，and the decline level in the study group was greater than that in the control group. The level of HDL-Cincreased compared to that before treatment，and the level of increase in the study group was higher than that in the control group（P<0.05）. Before treatment，the levels of follicle stimulating hormone（FSH），luteinizing hormone（LH），progesterone（P）and LH/FSH in the two groups were not significant（P>0.05）. After treatment，the levels of LH，P and LH/FSH decreased compared with those before treatment，and the decrease level in the study group was greater than that in the control group. After treatment，the FSH increased compared with that before treatment，and the increase level in the study group was greater than that in the control group（P<0.05）. Compared with that of the control group before treatment，the ovulation rate of the study group increased after treatment（P>0.05），and the level of increase in the study group was higher than that of the control group（P<0.05）.

The treatment of obesity polycystic ovary syndrome with Wuzi Xiezhuo Decoction combined with acupuncture is helpful to improve the disorder of glucose and lipid metabolism，further regulate the levels of sex hormones and increase the ovulation rate.
