To explore the clinical effect of the treatment of facial seborrheic dermatitis with heat excess in lung and stomach syndrome with the combination of Liangxue Qingfei Decoction（凉血清肺汤）and nitrate yellow liniment wet application.

A total of 102 acial seborrheic dermatitis patients with heat excess in lung and stomach syndrome admitted to the hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were retrospectively selected and divided into study group（51 cases）and conventional group（51 cases）according to random number table method. The conventional group was treated with nitrate yellow liniment wet application and the study group was treated with Liangxue Qingfei Decoction combined with nitrate yellow liniment wet application. The clinical efficacy of patients after treatment，the eczema area severity index（EASI），investigator's global assessment（IGA），matrix metalloproteinase-3（MMP-3），interleukin-1β（IL-1β）and the adverse reactions during treatment were compared.

After treatment，the TCM symptom scores of two groups were lower than those before treatment（P<0.05），and the score of the study group was lower than that of the conventional group（P<0.05）. The total effective rate of the study group and the conventional group was 94.12%（48/51）and 72.55%（37/51），respectively，and the rate of the study group was higher than that of the conventional group（P<0.05）. The IGA and EASI scores of two groups were lower after treatment. The levels of MMP-3 and IL-1βin the study group were lower than those in the conventional group（P<0.05），and the levels of MMP-3 and IL-1βin the study group were lower than those in the conventional group after treatment（P<0.05）. There was no significant difference in the adverse reaction rate between the two groups（P>0.05）.

Liangxue Qingfei Decoction combined with nitrate yellow liniment wet application can improve the clinical efficacy，relieve symptoms，reduce IGA and EASI scores and improve the level of serum inflammation in patients with facial seborrheic dermatitis.
