    Taking China Digital Science and Technology Museum as the research object, based on SERVQUAL and other theories, this study employed a digital science and technology museum service quality evaluation conceptual model with user experience as the core and highlighted educational significance, and adopted statistical analysis methods such as exploratory factor analysis and structural equation model analysis to correct and verify the model. Afterwards, the constructed model could be taken into practice to evaluate the service quality of China Digital Science and Technology Museum. The results showed that the four latent variables of service effect, educational effect, affective (empathy) and environmental characteristics have significant effects on the experience of users. The two pairs of positive correlations between the latent variables, and the fitting effect between the observation variables and the theoretical model is fine; on the other hand, the overall service quality (SQ) scores of China Digital Science and Technology Museum is higher, particularly in the two dimensions of service effect and environmental setting, while in humanized services and personalized services, the score on the emotional dimension is relatively low. In addition, users' experience showed significant differences in service experience, educational effects, emotional attitudes, etc. due to different demographics such as age, gender, and educational qualifications, indicating that while pays attention to resources, environment, technology and other infrastructures, the digital science and technology museum also needs to consider about user's group characteristics and individual needs.

    From the perspective of policy instrument theory, this study employs content analysis method to discuss the policy tools selection of science popularization. The study suggested that environmental policy instrument shows a state of differentiation, supply-type policy instrument shows a trend of equilibrium and demand-type policy instrument shows absence. By reviewing of the existing problems, some good suggestions are proposed, this paper proposed some suggestions aiming to optimize the structure of policy tools for science popularization and improve their working efficiency.

    This paper reviewed the relevant research on children education at the abroad museums and got some findings from the perspectives as affecting factors on children's learning at museum, exhibition design for children, interaction research focusing on children, and special projects cooperation between museum and other institutions based on its public educational function. According to above findings, the researchers compared the research on children education at domestic and abroad museums so that propose some suggestions to the study and practice of children education at museums in China in the future.

    Given the booming industry of short videos, science videos should be innovated and developed with more dynamic forms in order to make science popularization more popular. This paper takes “Tik Tok” as the research sample, and summarizes two communication forms of science short video on “Tik Tok”, which are releasing short videos and launching challenge activities. The study found out three advantages of “Tik Tok” for science video communication, which are closing the distance with public, promoting co-construction and sharing of science video resources, and using fragmented time for science communication. Finally, this paper proposed some suggestions about how to make science communication better on “Tik Tok” such as improving accounts' credit, updating displaying ways, and calling up attractive challenge activities.

    German Girls' Day is the world's largest career guidance activity through science and technology communication activities, aiming to guide middle school girls to pay attention to traditional male-dominated occupations. In 18 years, it has been working to improve girls' awareness on male-dominated occupations, particularlly mathematics (Mathematik), information (Information), natural science (Naturwissenschaft) and engineering technology (Technik). So as, to improve women's training-, internship-, and job application rate in these fields. Literature study and interview are main approaches in this paper to analyze the influence and effect of Girls' Day by studying its organizational ideas and support system, project management and running mechanism, activity content organization and promotion strategy.

    Science Popularization is at its primary stage as an industry in China. Through the National Science Popularization Survey, the researchers collected the income data of relevant products, publishing work, movies and TV programs, games, tourism and other business of science popularization. Based on the data analysis, it can be revealed that science popularization is an emerging industry in its infancy, which is gradually developing along with the development of governmental science popularization in China. However, it still faces a series of challenges, such as the small industrial scale, the lack of effective connection between upstream and downstream industries, low level of marketization and the inactivity of the business developer. In the close future, the science popularization industry would need a long-term support from the government from four aspects. It is helpful that the government improves the environment of industrial cultivation, guides consumers to build a reasonable market, expands the scale of the industry, and builds an in-depth cooperative system.

    Under the wave of globalization and informatization, museums are also moving towards to digitalization and intellectualization. Using the key words of digital literature research in CNKI as the data source, and employing the co-word clustering method, this study resulted in 12 research directions of digital museum research in China, and visualized them through knowledge map and strategic graph. The study showed that “Collection management and digital construction” and “Digital display and interaction” are the research hot points in the field of digital museum research; the research of “Smart museum” is self-contained, which may needs to build integration with other research fields to form new research points. Although some research directions have started, such as “The status quo and problems of digital museum construction”, “Digital museums help protect and inheritance”, “Application of digital technology in various museums”, “Museum information communication”, “Digital protection of cultural heritage”, “New media and museum culture communication”, “Museum construction in the context of the ‘Internet +’ era”, “Research on digitalization of cultural relics”, “Construction of metadata standardization”, their development is at primary stage, and need further improvement.

    As the supply side of science popularization service, science museums meet the needs of visitors (as the demand side) so as to attract and keep the audience for completing the mission of upgrading public science understanding and elevating public science literacy by science popularization products as exhibitions, education activities and public services. It is an inevitable issue of science museums to supply high quality science popularization service. Based on IPA analysis, this paper constructs the index system of satisfaction and perceptive importance, and researches on staff members and visitors at Guangdong Science Center in the form of questionnaire survey. Meanwhile, this paper originally compared the IPA result between staffs and audience to propose the three steps of supply-side reform for science popularization service: enhancing the thoughts of audience-focused science popularization; meeting visitor needs by adjusting service supply, and guiding visitor needs when improving the service supply.

    Ge Zhi Xuzhi, a set of elementary school textbooks compiled by the British missionary John Fryer, was widely used in the late Qing Dynasty and had a remarkable impact. Through the analysis of the historical background of the Ge Zhi Xuzhi, the author's situation and some textbook words, it can be found that the book emphasizes the separation of secular scientific knowledge and religious knowledge, pays attention to practical knowledge, and emphasizes the interdisciplinary integration and the theoretical system. When the books mentioned mathematical formulas, they employed both Chinese and Western translations. Also, the textbook content design depended on actual situations of students. These characteristics made “Ge Zhi Xuzhi” more acceptable to readers, and built the foundation for its great concern and widespread use in the late Qing Dynasty.

    Things Being Seen Daily (Suijian Lu in Chinese) was a magazine column written by Xue Deyu, a biologist of Republic of China, for Nature, a Chinese magazine published in 1928—1932. This column proposed the topics using the things which could be seen in daily life, to popularize the new knowledge, particularly the scientific knowledge behind common sense with familiar things, closing the distance between scientific knowledge and the public. This way to interpret the scientific knowledge did not only show the writing style formed by combing the feature of the natural history and the literature level of the public in that era, but also embodied the idea of “Science Localization”, the concept of popularizing science proposed by Zhou Jianren, the chief editor of this magazine.
