Latest ArticlesAs an independent part in the society, environmental NGOs are playing an increasingly important role, which is a new force of environmental protection. In the process of science communication, environmental NGOs awaken the people’s environmental awareness, offer advice and suggestions for the government, provide advisory services for the public and have become an effective complement to governmental work. In China, environmental NGOs, as a new organizational form, their development process will inevitably encounter some obstacles, for example, the lack of laws and regulations, funds, talents, social participation and so on. Through literature studies and qualitative survey methods, the authors have done a research on environmental NGO’s science communication activities and the status of the organizations, and give some advice about the measures of promotion.
The publishing of Three-body Problem opened up a brand-new world for Chinese science fiction which had been paralleled to children’s work or popular science literature. However, if it sticks to a certain literary mode, it is obviously not conducive to its development. The author tries to examine how science fiction will develop and integrate with children’s work or popular science literature.
In order to compete with pseudo-science, science itself must be accessible easily. The more science popularization is fun, the more the public would like to accept it. Then how to make science popularization fun? This paper argues four possible ways to do it: trying to be humorous, using metaphors, and discussing pop culture or hot issues. There’ re several case studies in this paper, such as Association of Science Squirrels, New people Café Scientifique, Fame lab, Ig Nobel Prizes, Dance Your Ph.D., The Grand Dseign, The Big Bang Theory, and so on. Science communicators in China are working hard on keeping pace with the times, there’s a long way to go though.
Science fiction is normally considered as serious literature more than popular literature. The cultural contradictions expressed in the history of Chinese science fiction reveal its absence of scientific spirit. Science Fiction World (SFW) is the biggest science fiction magazine in China and its writers’ group fluxes regularly gives a symptom of paradigm shift of their target of running. In this study, the core social and cultural reason for which the SFW turns to commercialize and popularize itself is inferred to be the decadence of humanity in the past 100 years and a serious position of cultural integrity is urgently called.
For the purpose of science popularization, online-game has broad industry and market prospects in terms of the public needs and the innovative form. To promote the development of online-game science popularization, the government and relevant departments, online-game industry and companies should work together and take active countermeasures.

CASTIC and APFS are two youth science and technology competitions of great importance in china. ISEF and STS are two important competitions in America. This paper describes an overview of the four competitions and makes a Sino-US comparative study of the review mechanism. On the basis of the study, some suggestions are put forward.
