Gao Shiqi is a strategic scientist in the realm of science popularization. He not only engaged in science popularization writing, creating excellent works such as The Autobiography of Bacteria, but also participated in the Preparatory Meeting for the First National Congress of Natural Science Workers and the National Congress of Literature and Art Workers, charting the blueprint for China's science popularization endeavor. During the "Spring of Science," he further offered valuable suggestions for the development of the cause. Gao broadened the boundaries of science popularization writing and science popularization work, and made strategic plans for both from the perspectives of organizational structure, talent cultivation, and working methods. His contributions continue to have an impact today and are worthy of our study and remembrance.

More than a decade has passed since the resurgence of interest in natural history began in 2014. In today's society, ecological thinking has taken root in people's minds, and their understanding of natural history and perception of nature have evolved. As a result, it is necessary to re-examine the current state of natural history publishing to meet future developmental needs. The Pingshan Natural History Book Award is China's first specialized award dedicated to natural history books. By analyzing the grading and categorization of winning titles from 2022 to 2024, combined with data from OpenBook and Douban, the shortcomings in current publishing practices become evident. It is worthwhile to regard natural history as a platform for cultural or even intellectual integration. By addressing these shortcomings and considering the future of natural history publishing from both cultural and policy perspectives, the publishing industry can contribute to the construction of ecological civilization.

In contemporary China, health communication has become an integral component of national strategy and social governance, and the knowledge-production logic of medical and health popular science books is undergoing a subtle yet significant transformation. This study examines both original Chinese worksand translated publications in the field of medical and health publications released in Mainland China in 2024. Focusing on key topics including nutrition and lifestyle, chronic disease prevention, medical humanities, biomedical frontiers, and mental health, and drawing on health communication theory and cultural studies, the article analyzes how these works negotiate the balance between scientific rigor and humanistic expression, as well as the cultural mechanisms underlying their production. The findings indicate that domestic publications largely follow a pragmatic approach, emphasizing immediate transmission of health skills, while translated works employ interdisciplinary integration and narrative strategies to activate structural public cognition and emotional resonance, highlighting a paradigm shift in health writing "functional instruction toward interpretive understanding." Particularly notable is the flourishing scholarship in the history of Chinese medicine, which has encouraged medical and health popular science books to extend toward greater historical depth and cultural richness, demonstrating the modern transformative potential of indigenous knowledge traditions.

Through their memory narratives, both films delve into the identity conflicts between humans and replicants, revealing the intricate relationships among memory narration, control, identity construction, and moral agency. They highlight the social nature of memory and its embodiment.With a strong medium self-reflexivity, both films emphasize the crucial role of visual imagery in cultural transmission, memory narration, and identity formation, indirectly pointing to the diffusion of visual power in contemporary society and the resulting postmodern memory crisis. Their distinctive aesthetic of light and shadow metaphorically alludes to the pivotal role visual media plays in shaping, activating, and retelling cultural memory, thus providing a critical perspective for contemporary science fiction and memory studies.

Zooniverse is the world's largest citizen science platform. By mobilizing millions of volunteers from around the globe, it helps scientists efficiently carry out research work that requires a significant amount of human effort. This open collaboration model not only supports the processing of vast amounts of scientific data but also provides the general public with opportunities to engage in authentic scientific practices. Zooniverse offers a wealth of technological resources for science communication and creation. Researchers and volunteers collaborate on platform projects to co-create popular science articles, lesson plans, exhibitions, and more, demonstrating the tremendous potential and value of citizen science platforms. Its successful experience is worthy of study and emulation. This paper summarizes the evolution, resources, and operational highlights of the Zooniverse platform, as well as its empowerment of science popularization, with the aim of further promoting the establishment of similar platforms domestically and injecting new vitality into scientific research and science popularization.

Chinese science fiction literature has developed production characteristics distinct from both traditional institutionalized literature and popular commercial literature. A review of its evolution from 1991 to 2006 demonstrates that Science Fiction World magazine and its "New Generation" writers catalyzed a paradigm shift in both production mechanisms and dissemination systems. This transformation was characterized by market-oriented operational strategies restructuring literary production relations, a professional writer cultivation system fostering a new authorial cohort, and the launch of book publishing initiatives propelling the genre toward commercial success. The innovative breakthroughs in science fiction production during this period extended beyond commercial dimension to shape distinctive aesthetic forms emblematic of the era.
