Gao Shiqi is a strategic scientist in the realm of science popularization. He not only engaged in science popularization writing, creating excellent works such as The Autobiography of Bacteria, but also participated in the Preparatory Meeting for the First National Congress of Natural Science Workers and the National Congress of Literature and Art Workers, charting the blueprint for China's science popularization endeavor. During the "Spring of Science," he further offered valuable suggestions for the development of the cause. Gao broadened the boundaries of science popularization writing and science popularization work, and made strategic plans for both from the perspectives of organizational structure, talent cultivation, and working methods. His contributions continue to have an impact today and are worthy of our study and remembrance.
