Chinese science fiction literature has developed production characteristics distinct from both traditional institutionalized literature and popular commercial literature. A review of its evolution from 1991 to 2006 demonstrates that Science Fiction World magazine and its "New Generation" writers catalyzed a paradigm shift in both production mechanisms and dissemination systems. This transformation was characterized by market-oriented operational strategies restructuring literary production relations, a professional writer cultivation system fostering a new authorial cohort, and the launch of book publishing initiatives propelling the genre toward commercial success. The innovative breakthroughs in science fiction production during this period extended beyond commercial dimension to shape distinctive aesthetic forms emblematic of the era.
