Latest ArticlesPlanetarium show is becoming an important educational form for popularizing astronomy in science museums. The facilities and equipments in planetarium have been improved these years, but the quality of planetarium show is not good. The conflict between this has affected the ability of science popularization. Based on the analysis of the domestic and foreign planetarium shows, the main features of planetarium are summarized. Though learning from movie for reference, the skills and experience are summed up, which contain topic selecting, show type choosing, story writing, and sound designing and so on. According to the features of the show, a procedure of script writing is proposed, which focuses on researching related knowledge.
From the perspective of the event to see science popularization, formed the pattern of emergency of science popularization implanted in social events such as public events, social issues, emergency incidents. However, from the perspective of science popularization to see events, it is just the part of science popularization by events, combined event marketing with science popularization marketing basic on the current research foundation, this paper presents of the pattern of science popularization of events and define the connotation including the public interest, focus and crisis events, and three characteristics of dependence, news, planning, and discusses its inherent basis of it rise from the perspective of penetration of sci-tech with everyday life, resource integration, the efficiency of input-output, as well as proposes a mode of the four paths.
Scientific knowledge become the most important driving force to promote social development since entering the post-industrial age. The scientism becomes the standards to judge right and wrong. Simultaneously enterprise turns into a new force as a for-profit organization in science popularization. In such a social environment, this study attempts to analyze the insignificance in science popularization of the enterprise according to the structure of content and the relation between the content of science popularization and enterprise, and put forward some suggestions.
Because of the specialty of the contents of popular science books, their authors need have background knowledge of science and technology, to be trained for scientific research. Sometimes they are working in field of scientific research. However, the experience of practice in science may bring some dogmatic ways related to scientific research in their way of thinking and writing habits. General description of the way of scientific research and the way of popularization of science is given, three different levels for good popular science books, and science books with analysis of classical and typical popular science works, studies on the way of thinking about popularization of science is made.
This essay gives a systematic introduction of the formation process of Gong Yuzhi science translation thought. Gong Yuzhi's translation thought is concluded through years of translation practice and lots of reading. Gong Yuzhi's translation thought can be used for reference in today's popular science translation.

In the high-tech age, great changes in the contents and realization approaches to science popularization have made. Within this context, the focus of the contents of science popularization should be put on social responsibility, a coordinated development among S&T, nature and society, besides the recent development of science and technology. In the aspect of the realization approaches of science popularization, we should make full use of various kinds of new methods, such as the internet, blog, virtual reality technology, and reality-based interaction technology, to improve the efficiency, vividness and diversity of science popularization.
Children's Rainbow Land is the first integral construction project after the setting up of Shanghai Science and Technology Museum. This area is open to the public in the July of 2010. The advanced education concept, interesting and interactive ways of exhibits attract lots of public; also win high evaluation from the national and international science museums. This paper will review the process of construction of this project, analyze the model and trait of the management, and raise the question need to be considered during the reconstruction. These thinking could provide experience for reconstruction of other science museums.
