This paper proposes the science popularization based on the internet through analysis and study of America internet science popularization cases, which is not only a innovation of tools but also fundamentally changes human concept of science and technology communication and the approaches and thus makes it an inexorable trend for science popularization to turn to bilateral communication between the public and the scientists from the dominant top-down one-sided communication. The public do not passively receive information but actively find, select, use and even deliver information instead. As a significant platform in information age, new media makes science and technology communication a common cause for the public rather than a work for few people. The public are both receivers and disseminators of science and technology information; the more who yearn for involvement in science and technology communication, the stronger the passion is and the more powerful they can be in realizing their dream.
