In the era of new media, the creators and disseminators of online popular science content should not blindly follow the trend, but learn to avoid legal risks and safeguard their own rights and interests. The article summarizes and analyzes the legal issues and risks faced by healthcare professionals in the creation and dissemination of live webcasts and short videos of popular medical science, and points out that the production of short videos of medical science should comply with regulations in both form and content, advocating that content creators need to have risk awareness. Finally, legal precautionary measures and ways to defend the rights of content creators are provided.
