Aiming to make China's transportation modernization truly become the pioneer of national modernization, the study explores the connotations of China's transportation modernization, assesses its international position and current gaps, and proposes the path measures to enhance its competitiveness. By employing literature analysis and inductive deduction methods, it is argued that transportation modernization, as a crucial component of Chinese-style modernization, also embodies the five major characteristics of Chinese-style modernization. However, differences in social systems determine their different operational mechanisms and development models between China and Western countries, along with distinct concepts of international cooperation. The complexity and comprehensiveness of China's transportation modernization exceed those of Western countries, presenting more significant challenges. Through comparison with 17 indicators against leading countries, global averages, and typical nations, it is found that China's transportation modernization level roughly ranks among the forefront of developing countries, approaching that of moderately developed countries. While indicators like high-speed railways and expressways have reached world-leading levels, there are still significant gaps in many areas. Four paths for transportation modernization are proposed: systematic infrastructure network construction, high-quality transportation services, green and intelligent transportation technology equipment, and refined modernization of transportation governance.

Ensuring food security is the basic guarantee and necessary requirement for Chinese modernization. This article analyses the intrinsic connection between Chinese modernization and food security: food security in China is an important foundation for more than 1.4 billion people to be well-fed and well-eaten, an integral part of realizing the common prosperity of the entire population, an important prerequisite for the satisfaction of material civilization and then for the pursuit of spiritual civilization, a product of the harmonious coexistence of human beings and nature, and an important guarantee of world peace and development. The article then reviews the practical history of food security with the Chinese path to modernization, and finds that China has realized the transformations from "not having enough to eat" to "eating well", from "relying on production areas" to "relying on the whole country", from "food sufficiency" to "spiritual abundance", from "focusing on output" to "focusing on greenness", and from "passive participation" to "proactive construction", and has stepped out of a path of food security in line with Chinese characteristics. In the future, China should promote the transformation of food security from quantitative security to quality and capacity security, improve the mechanism for guaranteeing the income of grain farmers and the compensation mechanism for the benefits of the main production areas, promote the coordinated development of material and spiritual civilization in the countryside, accelerate the construction of a diversified food supply system based on the concept of the "the greater food approach", and actively participate in the international cooperation on food security and the global governance of food security, in order to effectively improve the level of food security.

Scientific and technological innovation occupies a core position in the construction of Chinese-style modernization. This paper analyzes the lagging situation of the construction of the existing innovation theory discipline in China, the marginalization of the discipline organization, and the lack of systematic, strategic and autonomous knowledge. In recent years, the scientific and technological war launched by the United States and the West has affected the security of the global technology chain and industrial chain, which shows that scientific and technological innovation is not only related to the creation of new knowledge and the development of new products, but also involves the right to survival and development of late-developing countries, and the existing innovation theories do not understand this enough. It is proposed that we should attach great importance to the development of the discipline of innovation strategy. The connotation, characteristics and the key content of innovation strategy are discussed. It is suggested that the innovation strategy should focus on the theories related to "national innovation capacity", pay attention to the interdisciplinary integration, research on and tell the Chinese story well. It is suggested that a new first-level discipline "innovation strategy" should be added to the Chinese discipline system.

Every step in the modernization of human society has been accompanied by reflection on the ethics of science and technology and the continuous development of an ethical governance system for science and technology. In the new wave of technological revolution, the challenges and governance of technological ethics faced by China have both global commonalities and unique characteristics. It is imperative to deeply understand the problem awareness and specific requirements of ethical governance of science and technology from the perspective of Chinese Path to Modernization. Given the vast scale of its population, there is a need to ponder how to continuously enhance the tech-ethical literacy of the entire population, balance diverse tech-ethical demands and participation, and control the negative external impact of technology. Based on the modernization of shared prosperity among all citizens, it is essential to explore how to regulate potential exploitation of workers by technology, prevent technology from widening wealth and class disparities, and encourage all citizens to share the benefits of technological advancement. With a harmonization of material and spiritual civilization in modernization, it's important to consider adhering to the correct values in technology and enhancing spiritual civility. Based on the harmonious coexistence between humans and nature, it's crucial to rethink how to reduce the negative impact of technology on the environment and promote the empowerment of environmental governance by digital technology. Guided by the path of peaceful development, it is necessary to explore how to draw from and improve upon the technological ethical governance experiences of developed countries, manage ethical dumping judiciously, and promote global governance.

Cnaphalocrocis medinalis is one of the most destructive pests on rice. Chemical control is an effective method to control this pest insect, but excessive use of chemical pesticides will increase the insecticide resistance and pollute the environment and ecology, so the control technology of chemical pesticide reduction and efficiency enhancement is particularly important. In this paper, the occurrence of C. medinalis, its resistance to insecticides and the technology of reducing and increasing the effect of chemical insecticides were reviewed. On the basis of scientific seed selection, scientific water and fertilizer management and accurate forecast, the control of C. medinalis was combined with green control technologies such as ecological regulation, physical and chemical control and biological control, and through the rational selection of high-efficiency pesticides, additives and high-efficiency pesticide application equipment, and enhance the demonstration role of green control demonstration base. As a result, the purpose of reducing the dosage and increasing the efficiency of pesticide would be achieved.

The emerging digital economy can achieve low-carbon development at a lower cost, and it is an important engine for integrating carbon neutrality and economic development goals. This paper uses the matching data of the listed companies and the prefecture-level cities from 2011 to 2020 to discuss the mechanism and the effect of digitalization on the cost of carbon emission reduction and the changes brought about by urban low-carbon total factor productivity. The results show that the impact of digitalization on urban low-carbon total factor productivity through carbon emission reduction costs shows the characteristics of "first suppression, then promotion". The mechanism study found that the impact of digitalization on carbon emission reduction costs was nonlinear due to the combined effects of energy demand structure, factor technology efficiency and green technology innovation: in the early stage of digitalization, the surge in energy demand and the decline in factor technology efficiency offset the positive effects of green technology innovation, and the carbon emission reduction cost increased. In the middle and late stages of digitalization, with the optimization of energy demand structure and the improvement of factor technology efficiency, the cost of carbon emission reduction decreases. The heterogeneity analysis shows that compared with state-owned and high-energyconsuming enterprises, the digital transformation of non-state-owned enterprises and low-energy-consuming enterprises reduces the cost of carbon emission reduction earlier and improves the low-carbon total factor productivity of cities. Cities with low resource dependence, developed economy, large scale, and high coupling and coordination between digitalization and green technology innovation have a stronger inhibitory effect on the cost of carbon emission reduction, and the low-carbon total factor productivity of cities has been greatly improved.

The carbon emissions in the construction industry in China have become one of the main sources of carbon emissions in the entire society. Analyzing the spatial characteristics of carbon emissions intensity in the construction industry and identifying its key influencing factors are the key to achieving sustainable urban development and achieving the dual carbon goals. Based on the calculation of the carbon emission intensity of the construction industry in 30 provinces of China from 2010 to 2019, this paper analyzes the spatial characteristics of the carbon emission intensity of the construction industry in China using geostatistical methods, and further establishes Random Forest model to dynamically quantify and identify the key influencing factors of carbon emission intensity and analyze their impact laws. The results show that: 1) From 2010 to 2019, the overall spatial pattern of carbon emission intensity in China's construction industry showed significant spatial autocorrelation with a fluctuating upward trend. 2) The carbon emission intensity of the construction industry in 30 provinces of China exhibits significant north-south differentiation in local spatial patterns, with hot spots shifting from West China to North China, and cold spots shifting and expanding from East China to South China. 3) In the development process of the construction industry, the level of material consumption, urbanization rate, population mobility, and energy consumption have a significant impact on the carbon emission intensity of the construction industry. Subsequently, differentiated carbon emission reduction policies should be formulated from multiple perspectives such as the spatial characteristics of carbon emissions, energy utilization, and population agglomeration in different regions.

This study aimed to investigate the anti-fatigue effect of high-definition transcranial direct current stimulation (HD-tDCS) on human forearm flexor finger muscle, in order to provide reference for the clinical application of HD-tDCS. In this study, 19 healthy male subjects were recruited to observe the anti-fatigue effect of HD-tDCS on the contralateral hemisphere motor cortex on the muscle of the right forearm flexor finger muscle during the fatigue induced by 35% maximal isokinetic voluntary contractions. Subjects were divided into Baseline, HD-tDCS, and Sham groups. Surface electromyographic (sEMG) signals were collected during the performance exercise task and rating of perceived exertion (RPE) was asked after task. The fatigue time of forearm flexors in HD-tDCS group was significantly longer than Baseline and Sham groups (P<0.05). The level of RPE reported after exercise in Baseline and Sham groups was significantly higher than that in the HD-tDCS group (P<0.05). The sEMG level of forearm digital flexor in HD-tDCS group was lower than that in Baseline and Sham groups during isometric contraction. Applying HD-tDCS on the primary motor cortex of the contralateral hemisphere motor cortex can effectively prolong the fatigue resistance time and reduce the fatigue perception of the flexor fingers of the forearm, suggesting that HD-tDCS can improve the muscle fatigue resistance and reduce the subjective fatigue feeling to a certain extent.
