Huang Xuhua, as the chief designer of the China's first-generation nuclear submarine project, stands as a pioneering and foundational figure in the nation's nuclear submarine development. This study systematically examines Huang's academic contributions through some analytical dimensions. It further elucidates the "spirit of nuclear submarine development" forged through this pioneering endeavor. Through rigorous analysis, the paper identifies three intrinsic driving forces behind Huang's exceptional achievements.
