As a bridge that links the Communist Party of China and the Chinese government with the country's science and technology community and with the fixed-term appointment of the representatives, the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) carries out the Supported-Research Project for the Representatives of the 9th National Congress of the CAST during the period from 2016 to 2020. Through the project, the representatives can make deep studies and give more proposals for the development of our country and the CAST. This paper analyzes the effectiveness of the Supported-Research Project for the Representatives of the 9th National Congress of the CAST through the policy text analysis and the discussions with the project managers and the representatives, and the effectiveness of the project and the good experience are confirmed. Also, some deficiencies of the project and the reasons are analyzed, to support the proposals to improve the implementation of the project.
