The marine information engineering has gradually turned from conceptual and theoretical studies to actual construction and application services. Taking the example of Digital Ocean Engineering of China, this paper analyzes the current situations and foundations of China's marine informatization establishment by introducing the establishment process and achievements of Digital Ocean. By discovering the gap between America, Japan and other developing countries on data acquisition, processing and applications, this paper offers references on development tendency for marine informatization establishment of China.
