To translate the Ease of Imagery Questionnaire into Chinese and to test its reliability and validity among clinical nurses.
The Ease of Imagery Questionnaire was translated according to the Brislin translation model.Cross-cultural adaptation and a preliminary survey were conducted to form the Chinese version of the Ease of Imagery Questionnaire.From January to April 2025,a convenience sampling method was used to select 500 clinical nurses from a tertiary grade A hospital in Jiangxi province as research subjects to test the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the Ease of Imagery Questionnaire.
The Chinese version of the Ease of Imagery Questionnaire consisted of 16 items.The item-level content validity index ranged from 0.700 to 1.000.The average scale-level content validity index was 0.931.Exploratory factor analysis extracted two common factors,with a cumulative variance contribution rate of 63.201%.Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the model fit well.The overall Cronbach's α coefficient of the scale was 0.921.The split-half reliability was 0.919.The test-retest reliability was 0.830.
The Chinese version of the Ease of Imagery Questionnaire has good reliability and validity among clinical nurses.The scale could be used as an assessment tool to evaluate the level of ease of imagery among clinical nurses.
