To investigate the effects of fermentation time on the physicochemical properties, sensory quality, and antioxidant activity of highland barley-based yogurt, in order to determine the optimal fermentation process.
Different fermentation times (6, 7, 8, 9, 10 h) were set to systematically evaluate the yogurt's pH value, titratable acidity, water holding capacity (WHC), rheological properties, total phenolic content, and antioxidant activity. Sensory evaluation and electronic tongue analysis were also conducted for comprehensive assessment.
As fermentation time increased, the pH value continuously decreased, while titratable acidity increased. The WHC and rheological properties reached their optimum at 7 hours. The total phenolic content and in vitro antioxidant activity (DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging rates) increased with fermentation time and peaked at 10 hours. Sensory evaluation showed that the 7 h fermentation sample achieved the highest overall scores in color, texture, flavor, and taste.
The optimal fermentation time for highland barley plant-based yogurt is 7 hours, as it achieves a balance between excellent physicochemical properties, antioxidant capacity, and sensory acceptability.

As the dairy industry transitions toward high-quality development, working capital management has become essential for enhancing corporate financial resilience and market competitiveness. Traditional management approaches, which analyze operational segments in isolation, fail to meet the coordination demands of modern industrial chains. From a value chain perspective, this study takes Liziyuan as a case example to construct a working capital analysis framework that integrates internal value chain activities—procurement, production, and sales—with external partnerships involving suppliers and distributors. The findings indicate that Liziyuan demonstrates certain advantages in managing working capital within its procurement and sales stages. However, challenges such as the rapid increase in other payables during production, overly conservative credit policies, and a fragmented customer base constrain its profitability and market expansion. Comparative analysis with industry leader Yili supports the identification of these issues. The study proposed targeted recommendations, including strengthening supplier collaboration, regulating fund outflow paths, adjusting credit policies, and accelerating digital transformation. This research aimed to offer both theoretical insights and practical guidance for dairy enterprises seeking to establish a systematic and synergistic working capital management system.
Against the backdrop of the "Green is Gold" development philosophy and China's "Dual Carbon" strategy, ecotourism dairy farms have emerged as a significant pathway for the Chinese dairy industry to promote industrial ecological transformation. This study employed case studies of leading domestic dairy enterprises to systematically analyze the mechanisms and practical models through which ecotourism enhances corporate performance. The findings indicated that ecotourism significantly contributes to the improvement of corporate financial performance through multiple channels, including brand value appreciation, product premium pricing, industrial chain extension, and cost optimization. Successful enterprises not only generate direct tourism revenue but also establish differentiated core competitiveness, providing practical references for the green transformation and value re-creation of the traditional dairy industry.
To evaluate the effects of probiotic-fermented feed (PBF) on heat-stressed dairy cows.
36 healthy mid-lactation Holstein cows were selected from a dairy farm in Tengzhou and randomly divided into three groups (n = 12 each): control (CON, basal diet), low-dose (L-PBF, 2% fermented feed), and high-dose (H-PBF, 4% fermented feed). The trial lasted 56 days, including a 14-day adaptation period and a 42-day treatment period. Dry matter intake (DMI) and milk yield were recorded, and milk samples were collected for composition analysis. Blood samples were collected on days 0, 21, and 42 to measure serum cortisol (CORT), heat shock protein 70 (HSP70), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and interleukin-10 (IL-10). Fecal samples were collected on days 0 and 42 for qPCR quantification of Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium, and Escherichia coli.
Results showed that 4% PBF significantly increased the abundance of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium while reducing E. coli in rectal feces (P < 0.05). It also significantly decreased serum levels of CORT, HSP70, TNF-α, and IL-6, while increasing IL-10 (P < 0.05). Additionally, 4% PBF significantly improved DMI, milk yield, milk fat percentage, and milk protein percentage (P< 0.05).
Appropriate supplementation of PBF can improve intestinal microecology and internal homeostasis in heat-stressed dairy cows, thereby enhancing productive performance.
To reduce the use of veterinary antibiotics, explore the in vitro synergistic antibacterial effect of the combination of traditional Chinese medicine compound and cephalosporin antibiotics on multi-drug resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in dairy cows with mastitis, and screen combined medication regimens that enhance efficacy and reduce toxicity.
In this study, MRSA strains were isolated and identified from the breast secretions of clinically affected dairy cows. The minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) of a traditional Chinese medicine compound (consisting of six traditional Chinese medicines such as dandelion, honeysuckle, and forsythia) and two cephalosporin antibiotics, ceftiofur and cefquinome, were determined by the micro-broth dilution method. The synergistic antibacterial index (FICI) of the combined medication was detected by the checkerboard dilution method, and the effects of different drug combinations on the MRSA growth curve were observed.
The individual MIC of the isolated MRSA strains for ceftiofur and cefquinome were 64, 32μg/mL respectively, and the individual MIC of the traditional Chinese medicine compound was 256 mg/mL. The FICI of the combination of the traditional Chinese medicine compound with ceftiofur and cefquinome was 0.38 and 0.25 respectively, both showing significant synergistic antibacterial effects. The inhibitory effect of the combined medication group on the growth of MRSA was stronger than that of the single medication group, which could shorten the onset time of the antibacterial effect and prolong the duration of the antibacterial effect.
The combination of traditional Chinese medicine compound and cephalosporin antibiotics can significantly reduce the inhibitory concentration of the latter against MRSA, enhance the inhibitory effect, and decrease the clinical dosage of cephalosporin antibiotics. This provides a new medication idea and experimental basis for the treatment of drug-resistant strain infections in dairy cow mastitis.

The integration of technology and practical application significantly enhanced the efficiency of bovine protozoal disease management, providing a scientific basis for farm management practices.
Endometritis in dairy cows is a disease that seriously affects their reproductive performance and causes significant economic losses to the dairy farming industry. As an important dairy cattle breeding base in Guizhou Province, the subtropical humid climate in Guiyang makes the cowshed easy to be in a high-humidity environment. In addition, there are some problems such as extensive feeding management and non-standard midwifery operation in some small and medium-sized pastures, leading to a high incidence of endometritis and an annual increase in the drug resistance of pathogenic bacteria, which poses challenges to clinical treatment. Based on the actual situation of dairy cattle breeding in Guiyang City, this paper analyzed the causes and diagnostic points of cow endometritis, and constructed a comprehensive prevention and control system of prevention first, hierarchical diagnosis and treatment, and dynamic monitoring combined with the characteristics of the regional hot and humid climate. It has important practical significance for reducing the incidence rate, improving the health level of dairy cattle, and promoting the quality and efficiency of the regional dairy industry.
