Editorial Policies1. Manuscript Processing Flow
After a manuscript is successfully submitted, the editorial department will first conduct an initial screening. Manuscripts that lack originality, contain serious scientific or technical flaws, provide insufficient scholarly value, or fall outside the scope of the journal will be rejected at this stage.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be sent for peer review. The journal adopts a double-blind peer review system. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least three independent reviewers. Authors are required to respond to the reviewers’ comments point by point and submit a revised manuscript within the specified time. After the peer-review process is completed, the Deputy Editor-in-Chief conducts the final evaluation and makes the final decision on whether the manuscript will be accepted for publication. The Editor-in-Chief oversees the entire peer-review process and is responsible for all content published in the journal.
2. Editing and Publishing Process
3. Review Period
The average review period is approximately 2 months.
4. Publication Period
The average time from submission to formal publication is 6~8 months. Once a manuscript is accepted, we will prioritize it for online early release before official publication.
5. Academic Misconduct Detection
All submissions are checked using the “Academic Misconduct Detection System for Scientific Journals.” Manuscripts with excessively high text similarity (>10%) will be rejected outright. The journal strictly prohibits any form of academic misconduct, including duplicate submissions, plagiarism, and fabrication.
6. Internal Submissions
Submissions from editorial board members, editors, or guest editors must comply with the same peer review and editorial procedures as other authors. Editorial board members, editors, or guest editors must not participate in the review, editorial handling, or acceptance decisions of manuscripts authored by themselves, their family members, or colleagues. Peer review must be conducted independently of the authors, editors, and their research groups.
7. Corrections and Retractions
If unintentional scientific errors are discovered after publication that do not significantly affect the results or conclusions, the editorial department will promptly publish a correction notice specifying the changes made to the original article. If post-publication issues involve serious scientific errors or suspected academic misconduct such as plagiarism or fabrication, the editorial department will issue a statement highlighting the concerns, conduct an investigation, and publish the results. Retraction may be undertaken if necessary, accompanied by a retraction notice.
8. Special Issues and Special Columns
The review process outlined above also applies to submissions for special issues. Manuscripts submitted for special issues will undergo the same review and editorial process as regular submissions. The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the entire content of the journal, including special issues.
When organizing special issues, the editorial department may invite authoritative experts in the field to serve as guest editors. The responsibilities of the guest editors include assisting the editorial department with soliciting manuscripts, organizing peer reviews, and resolving any issues that arise in the publication of the special issue. The work of guest editors is supervised by the Editor-in-Chief to ensure the fairness of the manuscript review process.
9. Appeals
Authors who have concerns about the review outcome may submit an appeal to the editorial department. Appeals should be accompanied by a written statement explaining the reasons or providing clarification. Upon receiving an appeal, the editorial department will organize expert verification and, if necessary, appoint independent third-party reviewers to reassess the manuscript.
