The paper firstly examines the degradation mechanisms of membrane electrode assemblies and bipolar plates (mainly including the mechanical, thermal and chemical degradation of proton exchange membranes), platinum dissolution and carbon support corrosion within the catalyst layer, carbon corrosion in the gas diffusion layer as well as the sealing integrity and corrosion resistance of bipolar plates. Subsequently, current durability evaluation methodologies for individual components are reviewed in light of their respective degradation mechanisms. It is identified that existing evaluation approaches exhibit significant variations in test conditions, performance metrics and aging protocols, leading to challenges such as lack of standardized criteria, limited test coverage and poor correlation with real-world operating conditions. Finally, drawing upon the understanding of component-specific degradation behaviors and the state of the art in evaluation techniques, it is proposed that the development of a systematic, accelerated and operationally representative durability testing framework represents a critical direction for future research and industrial advancement.

In order to obtain the wheel center load, the six-component force identification method under road test condition is studied. The principal component analysis method is used to solve road noise problem with multi-reference strong coupling of excitation source. The Virtual Point Transformation (VPT) technique is used to convert the measured translational FRF into the six-component FRF at the wheel center, and the correctness of the VPT method is verified by experiments. Based on component-based Transfer Path Analysis (TPA) technology, combined with matrix inverse method and in-situ method, the six-component wheel center Blocked force under rough road conditions at a vehicle speed of 40 km/h was identified. The predicted in-vehicle noise was consistent with the measured noise value, which verified the effectiveness of the method.

For the vibration and noise issues generated by the Rack-parallel Electric Power Steering (R-EPS) system under bumpy road conditions, this study analyzes the overall vibration transfer characteristics of the structure from the perspective of vibration transfer functions, identifying the primary frequency band of the abnormal noise. Meanwhile, modal analysis is employed to determine the correlation between the system's characteristic frequencies and its natural frequencies and mode shapes, confirming that the transfer function from the inner ball joint of the tie rod to the ball screw structure exhibits significant characteristic frequencies within the noise frequency band. To improve noise performance, based on the concept of transfer path optimization, rubber bushings were added to the mounting holes between the steering gear and the subframe to alter the stiffness and damping of the structural vibration transfer path. The effectiveness of this measure in optimizing the vibration transfer path was validated through CAE analysis and testing.

In order to solve the problems of long development cycle, high design cost and easy fatigue damage of automotive bushings, the stiffness calculation and fatigue simulation simulation of the rear bushings of front suspension lower swing arm were carried out based on finite element software. Ogden, Mullins, and Thomas model parameters and initial crack size are obtained through the mechanical property test of rubber materials, and then the bushing is subjected to stiffness calculation and fatigue life simulation. Comparing the results of the bench test, it is found that the error of all-directional stiffness and fatigue life is less than 8%, and the location of the node where fatigue failure occurs is the same as the fatigue hotspot obtained from the calculation, which is similar to the location of the fatigue failure in the bench fatigue test, thus verifying the feasibility of the simulation.
