Took the Salvia miltiorrhiza planting in Zhengning area as the research object, five gradient density treatments were set up to systematically analyze the effects of planting density on the growth dynamics, yield composition and medicinal component accumulation of Salvia miltiorrhiza. The results showed that the medium-density treatment had the best overall benefits, and its key growth indicators such as plant height and stem diameter during the seedling stage and flowering stage were significantly better than those of other treatments. In conclusion, 125 000 plants/hm2 was the ideal planting density for high-quality and high-yield production of local Salvia miltiorrhiza, which could provide technical references for standardized cultivation.
