XR technology is used in children's fusion books of popular science to carry out scene-based experiments at the content level, allowing young readers to gain a clearer perception and experience of relevant scientific knowledge through scene-based experiences, which is a new opportunity and breakthrough in the development of children's science fusion publications. Successful and less successful cases of XR technology in children's science fusion publications are analyzed to clarify the concept of XR. Additionally, this paper discusses the current bottlenecks and future development trends of XR technology, and clarifies the way forward for the integration of XR technology in the development of children's science fusion publications.
