Outline
Starting from the scope and concept of science picture books, this article analyses the categories of best-selling children's science picture books in the UK from 2019 to 2021. The article provides a thematic overview of the current state of science picture book writing and publication in the UK and explains the cause of the popularity of picture books with the market and the children, identifying science picture books as an integrated medium with scientific, literary, artistic and childlike qualities. Finally, the implications for the creation and publication of science picture books in China are provided.
